This condition is due to refrigerant leak and you have to check for the leakage and then flush the remaining gas from the system, locate the spot where it has developed the leak and get it rectified and then recharge the refrigerant and do remember to change the drier so that your unit would function normal after the above process is completed.

I have a GE side by side ref. model # GSS22JFMC WW that is not cooling. A few months ago I replaced the defrosting element. It is not freezing up but for some reason it sometimes stops cooling. I can turn off the power to the ref. and wait a few minutes and then turn it back on. It then starts working again. Any assistance would be great.
