  • Turn off and disconnect the water line from under your sink.
  • Disconnect the drain line from either the air gap or the garbage disposal.
  • If the dishwasher power cord is plugged into a receptacle you will need to unplug that.
  • If it is hard wired into the dishwasher you will need to turn the power off at your house breaker. Please be careful and make sure you have the power truly off by confirming with your dishwasher. Set it to a cycle and make sure its dead.
  • There is an access panel at the bottom of your dishwasher to locate the junction box where the power is connected.
  • (If you have enough cord/drain hose/ water supply inlet hose, you sometimes can just pull the dishwasher straight out. Without having to disconnect anything. )
  • You will need to remove the access panel usually by either two 1/4 inch screws or a phillips some of the new access panels use plastic keepers just turn those from the vertical position to a horizontal position and they just pop right out. Now you can access the junction box where the power goes in.
  • You need to remove the mounting screws at the top of the dishwasher under the counter.
  • The dishwasher should be ready to pull straight out.
I hope this helps

Why does one plate go under another at some boundaries

Mmmm... simply ~ it's STRESS as the STRATA (many many layers of earth 'plates') COMPRESS >towards< each other... like two water balloons slowly pressed together... sooner or later 'something' is going to pop and it's interesting that most times it's UP!

Also SOME "soil layers" are more 'delicate' than others... so THOSE layers give way first (usually). See "Diatomaceous Earth"... that is almost a "powder" AND under a microscope see MILLIONS of tiny 'shells'! The stuff can be so 'soft' the rock forms breakup as you squeez it with your hands...

This ABUNDANT earth is used for roach and insect repellent ~ as is ~ yet it can also be ingested when properly treated!

This month I was in Arizona and I was AMAZED how some VERY TOUGH LAVA ROCKS were almost TOTALLY VERTICAL from plate movements!

Please see the two interesting links below too...

How do i rid of fruit flies in my plants

I've had the same problem and was able to get rid of the fruit flies using the following method.

First, sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the dirt in the plant pots. Diatomaceous earth is all natural and non-toxic, but it will kill the fruit flies.

Here's a link for killing bugs naturally with diatomaceous earth:

Next, make a mild soap and water solution, pour it in a spray bottle and spray the plants. Make sure the solution is mild because if it's too strong it will affect the plants.

Here's a link for the homemade insecticide soap recipe:

The combination of the diatomaceous earth and insecticide soap will take care of your fruit fly problem. It will probably take about a week or so for all of the fruit flies to die, but if you're vigilant you'll take care of the problem.

What is the recipe for killing ants with borax

supplies Needed
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Borax
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • Cotton balls or paper towel
1. Mix the Borax and sugar together until well combined.
2. Add the mixture to your warm water and mix constantly until the powder has been completely dissolved.
3. Seal the mixture in a jar or container for future use, and use only what you need in the next steps (and save the rest). It is important that you clearly label the jar, as it will just look like water. Do not leave this where children can get to it. (Because this is such an easy solution to make, however, I only kept what I made until after the ants had been gone for a week or more.)
4. Fill some jar lids, milk caps, or other shallow containers with cotton balls or a wad of paper towel.
5. Add the sugar-Borax solution to the prepared lids making sure to soak the cotton balls (or paper towel).
6. Wait. It may take the ants a while to find the solution. But, once they do, let them feast (and take the solution back to their home). At our house, to speed up the finding process, I placed a couple of the soaked cotton balls directly on the ledge in my kitchen where most of the ants were.
Be prepared - more ants will probably show up once they find the solution. However, within a day, you'll probably see much fewer ants. Over the course of just a few days, all of the ants should likely be gone. Because we had watched the ants quite a bit, we noticed where they were coming from and made sure to use a sealant to seal the area to stop them from coming back in the future.

now if this doesn't work i recommend organic chlorine_ such as DDT
highly toxic to humans so avoid contact but will keep the ants away for about 30 years or so

I am using a Rubbermaid shed as a chicken house. I want to disinffect the floor by rubbing dolimite lime into it with a broom and leave some lime pwder residue when adding the wood chips bedding. This was...

Found BURRED in the Internet!

"Lime (any form) - Whether you're storing the round pearls of dolomite lime or powdered hydrated lime, the most important thing is that they must stay dry. Store the bags up off the floor to avoid the rising dampness that's common in some areas in winter. Or better yet, use the lime as needed on your garden in the fall and give it time to work in over the winter - then no storage is necessary.
I should mention that many of these products are applied with sprayers and other equipment. We use one sprayer for oil based products and one for non-oil based. Some people use a different one for each product, and that's fine too. My advice would be to make sure that at the end of the season you thoroughly clean your equipment and store it in a dry location. I've found that indoor storage works best because it stops any minute traces of oil from becoming gummy over the winter. There's nothing more frustrating than having a beautiful winter's day on which to spray dormant oil on your trees and then finding your sprayer is gummed up and useless."

PERHAPS a more 'Friendly' approach is: diatomaceous earth ? Low cost, effective and abundant!

A off white talc-like powder that is the fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton. When sprinkled on a bug that has an exoskeleton (such as bed bugs, ants or fleas) it compromises their waxy coating so that their innards turn into teeny tiny bug jerky. But it doesn't hurt mammals. We can eat it. We do eat it! It's in lots of grain based foods because lots of grains are stored with diatomaceous earth to keep the bugs from eating the grain!
