You might have a shorted rectifier or capacitor in the power supply circuit. Check that first.

Bm5a blows fuse when turned on

Blowing a fuse means that it has a dead short. The fuse does its job by protecting the other components while the circuit fails. Something is definitely burned out inside.

I have a vox valvetronic 50, which keeps blowing fuses as soon as it is switched on and leaves a burning smell. any ideas?

One or more parts in the power supply section is defective. I would recommend taking/sending the unit to a repair depot.

Blows fuse on back of amp as soon as i hit the power button on what should i be looking for that is causein this

Not very specific but you did say amp, (guitar maybe)so.....IF it blows fuses when turning on is a dead short. Capacitors or if solid state sounds like final audio output transistors. Open and do a visual. If I knew what it is I could help more.

Why my Marshall amplifier immediately blows fuses?

It could be a failed power supply capacitor, it could be a shorted speaker, it could be a shorted cable. It might also be a conductive piece of trash in just the wrong spot on the circuit. They would be the big ones of about 5000 microfarad give or take a few hundred microfarads.

Though a little less likely, there could be a short of failed component in the output stage.of the amp.

My Fender LX1506 powered mixer keep blowing the fuse as soon as i turn it on what is the problem?

There is a direct short somewhere. Is the fuse the right size amps? volts? You dont want to put an dc fuse in an ac power amp. Double check your fuses.

Could a bad cable connection make a fuse blow in my fender passport 250, or cuase any problemmwith ouput from my speakers...?

A shorted speaker cable could cause this... however, what you do is to replace the fuse BUT wire a 150 Watt lamp in series with the power input... This acts as a resetable fuse for testing. If the lamp stays lit, you still have a failure.

Bought from usa to australia changed to recomended fuse, fuse blows as soon as turned on the unit was brand new any ideas ?

hi,
You have to check the working voltage of the adapter of you device. If it purchased from US then it will be 110V. I think the Line voltage in Australia is 220V.Also You have to check is there is any input voltage selector in the in its adaptor . If it there you have to change it to 220V. If there is no such selector then you have to buy a 220v to 110v converter .Then connect the out put of that converter to to your device. You can by this converter at any electronic spare part shope near to you. Or you have to by a new 9V 1.3Amps AC adaptor. When you going to by the converter or a new adaptor take the device. If so they will explain you how to connect the converter or adaptor . By changing a fuse you can't change the operating voltage. If The adapter is designed to use in 110V then the fuse will blow. If you change the fuse and make more experiment with it it will make the full system useless.
ok

I have a KRK Rokit Powered 5 studio monitor and the fuse blew out, so i replace the fuse with the spare they provide and ''bam'' blows again as soon as i turn on the monitor. i have had these for about 4...

Look for a failure in the power supply section. You will need electronic experience or someone who has that.

If the fuse is glass and blows silvery inside thia means a direct short inside. SUSPECT the input rectifier or filter capacitor(s).

Do testing with a 100 watt light bulb in series with the hot side of the power cord to avoid blowing fuses.
