The small box on the TV screen is in the right hand corner and below appears another box with the file details likesize, resolution etc. I just can't make the TV to play the film Full Screen. I tried several converter programms, as I thought it might be a problem with that, but still no joy.

It is likely that the movie is recorded at a low resolution for display on a mobile device rather than a large TV. If you have ever watched an upscaled low res movie, you would probably want to obtain a higher resolution version instead.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: I plug in the USB

First, try using a different USB stick. If that doesn't fix the problem then your new tv is either faulty or the tv operating system has a bug.

Check the LG website in your country to see whether there are any firmware updates available. If not, then return the tv for refund or exchange, but make sure to try your USB drive on any replacement set in store as it's highly likely to be a bug in your model which will affect all of the other examples as well.

SOURCE: hi i have a 47"

That is because the TV has no drivers for the hard drive.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers and Driver downloads as required. Hopefully all the information you require will be available including what can be plugged into the Universal Serial Hub, and work properly.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Hi. how do i play a movie using a usb?

I would check with a USB that has a light on it. When you insert the USB, the light on the USB should go on. On the menu on the TV, you should go to the one for playing movies. The DVD player should recognized that there is a DVD in the tray and a USB inserted into the machine. Select the USB and it should show you all the playable material on the USB. Use the remote to select what you want to watch. You may try without a DVD in the tray.

Good luck,

Paul

HOW DO I USE THE USB PORT TO PLAY MOVIES

Tom,

To be able to play movies stored on a USB device (it doesn´t matter if it's a usb pen, a usb hard drive, etc), you will need two things:

1.- The device where you want to play the movies must support the USB device that you're using (not all USBs are the same, and they can be formatted differently, too). So if when you plug it in, the TV doesn´t recognize it, use a different USB device.

2.- The movies that you put on the USB device must be palyable by your device. ie: your TV, BluRay, etc must be able to decode and play the movie format, and this can be AVI, DIVX, XVID, H624, QT, MKV, etc. Even if your device reproduces DIVX movies, if the movie is encoded in a weird format, it won't be playable. The fastest way to know is trial and error.

Using usb stick

First you will have either copy and pate the movie or download it to your usb drive

One of the benefits of putting files on a USB flash drive is that you can make any type of file portable.

This includes not only documents, spreadsheets and photos, but also media like video clips and movies.

If you have movies saved on your flash drive that you want to view, watching the movies directly from the USB drive is a simple process and can be achieved on almost any computer.

Connect your USB drive to the device on which you want to watch your movies.

This includes all USB-compatible computers, as well as some select television-compatible devices (like the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Sony Media Extender).

Launch the file explorer application on your device.

In Windows, access this utility by accessing the "Computer" application and then double-clicking the USB drive to display the files.

If you are trying to watch the movie files on a compatible television device, look for a "media," "device" or "USB input" application or button to bring up the file explorer.

Select the movie file you want to play.

In Windows, do this by double-clicking on the file.

The appropriate media-handling program should automatically launch and begin playing the movie automatically.

If you are using a television device, select the file from the list of compatible files in the device's internal explorer system.

hope this helps

Hi how do i connect my external hard drive to my ps3 and watch films

Step 1. Connect your storage device (I usually use a pen drive) to your computer

Step 2. Copy Movie to the storage device

Step 3. Eject storage device and connect to your ps3 via the USB port.

Step 4. under videos an option of your storage device should be there but do not choose X button instead press triangle for options, then select display all.

Step 6. Locate your movie and select it using X button.

Step 7. Enjoy the movie!!!! This works with MOST movie files, you may find problems watching some movie because of the way they were encoded.

Step 8. Done.

Good Luck
