Question about LG DLE2301W 27" Electric Dryer with 7.3 cu. ft. Capacity 9 Drying P

1 Answer

Where do the green and white wires (located at the power source) go? What are these wire? Negative, ground, what? Also, where does the connector at the control panel having grey and black wires go?

I tried to change the rollers. Later, when I tried to assemble the dryer back, I couldn't figure out where to attach green and white wires. Also, there is one connector at the control panel with grey and black wires, what does it attach to?

SOURCE: Which wires are hot and which is the ground wire on Maytag DE7600 drier (back panel top to bottom 3 connections)

If you have the newer style, you should have 4 wires on the CORD <--- not the terminal block itself. They'll be; Black, White, Red and Green. The green goes to the frame/cabinet and the white ALWAYS (ALWAYS) connects to the center terminal. The Black and the Red attach to either of the 2 remaining terminals... doesn't matter which one.

If you have a 3 wire cord, don't worry about a green wire. Just wire it "black, white, red" or "red, white, black"... just make sure you put the white in the middle. Think Oreo cookie.

And to be specific about your question... The Black and the Red are the "hot" wires... each one carries 120VAC.

SOURCE: I just got an LG

Hi,
If you have a red wire then the dryer is a 240v dryer and needs a 240v 30 amp circuit...

Here is the manual for your dryer and it shows the hook up you need on page 17...or part 5 of the manual...

Trying to hook a tachometer to a 93 gmc seirra 1500 350 were does the green wire go?

The "Green" wire from the tachometer should be attached to the negative side of the ignition coil only, and usually (but not always) it is a black wire with a white stripe or it is a solid white wire that will come off from the negative side of the ignition coil and often has a tab on the wire that says "Test" or "Tach" and the wire ends with an open black connector that is used for connecting a diagnostic device or tachometer for diagnostic purposes, and this is the wire that the green wire from the after-market tachometer should attach to. The "Red" wire should be attached to an "ignition" source connection on the fuse panel and have battery power when the key is in the "Run" position only, the "Yellow" or "White" wire should be connected to the "LPS" source on the fuse panel, and the "Black" wire should be connected to a good ground source and if the tachometer is not properly grounded then you will get a primary voltage shock from the ignition coil every time that you touch something metal inside of the vehicle. Let me know if you require any further assistance.

Connecting new fan/motor assy

a capacitor is typically inline with your power source and stores a large amount of power to supply bursts of power when heavy draws occur. it sits between the source and the motor so you should have the (source - capcitor - motor) hot wires all conecting at the same place. The other wire on the capacitor should be the ground (if they have +/- markings use the negative as the ground).
