You don't say which model, but I suggest that you first try a factory reset.

Check the signal level and quality. Reseat all aerial connections.

The humax remote formerly managed all functions with TV now won't turn TV on, when tv on won't change channels, show home, guide any functions, but will change volume.

If you have changed your TV, you'll need to change the TV code in the Humax remote. See the TV code list at the back of the Humax User Guide.

I have lost TG4 & RTE 1 & RTE -how do i restore

Sounds like you have a problem with the aerial or the connection cable. Hows the signal level and quality on the other channels? You need about 80% quality and 50-80% signal level for a decent stable picture. Quality is by far the most important.

Vizio 32" tv led why some channels scrambled

if not the cable source then the MAIN pcb (not power pcb) controls all tuning. If you're using a cable box & some channels good/some channels scrambled, then is a cable issue.

Why is my panasonic viera picture only showing when humax box switched on. Why?

Try the AV/Source button on your TV remote control, might help. Sounds like your source is set to the Humax box channel so you need to change it to the source you want, whether thats TV, DTV, HDMI1 etc... hope this might be it... also check your plugs in the back of the boxes and ensure they are firmly plugged in.

Cannot record and view an alternative channel

I don't know what kind of TV service you have; cable, DirecTV, etc which will let you do this with their own DVRs so I am assuming you have none. To view one and watch the other, or to view PIP (picture within a picture) you will need a second source input; either VHS or DVD player or other tuner.

I just got a new 26" Westinghouse TV, and the screen says "No Channels in List" and when I search for channels, it is not finding any.

What type of antenna are you using? Or what is your source for accessing channels? (i.e. - are you connecting to a cable tv service box or are you using a receiver ect.) Make sure that your source is connected to the input method that you are currently using on the tv.

There are many input methods to choose from in the settings of the tv. They are generally called antenna 1, antenna 2, cable, aux, hdmi - and a few other names. There should be a button on your remote to change them. The function is usually called "source" or "input". Press that button to change the input method until you get a picture on the tv or pick up some sort of reception. when you have the tv set on the same method of input that your antenna source is connected to, you will get channel reception or some sort of picture. Thats when you use the menu functions to auto find channels for you and let it go through its checking scan to report how many it has picked up.

If its running the scan for channels and not locating any stations, and the picture is either scrambled with the white noise sound tv's make when off channel or if its just single color screen without any sound - then you know the antenna input method you have chosen on the back of the tv is not the current method set in the settings under the menu key.

Most of the time the inputs are labeled on the back. If you look under the cable antenna connection, it should say "cable" somewhere in small print - or "antenna 1 input", antenna 2 ect. Look on the back of the tv. If you are using RCA jacks that are labeled right and left for sound and a third connector for video ect, look for the name of the input method of those three connections on the back of the tv. It should be marked as input - aux 1 ect. Then just change the source chosen in the tv to match it and have it auto program your channels.

Dear Sir/Madam I bought the humax ir1010hd reciever about 1 month old and i had all the channels working with no problem including the jazeera sports + but about 2 days ago the aljazeera sports +...

You need to contact your provider and let them know what is going on. We cannot help you with that situation since that has to do with your service provider and not the device.

Record and watch different channels with freesat

I believe that the Humax can only output 1 channel and because it has no built in hdd and twin channel capabilty that is all you can record 1 channel (unlike sky +/sky HD) so that means also that unless you watch a different source (like the picture from your aerial (terrestial channels)) you are stuck with having to watch the channel you record
