SOURCE: Front load washing machine would not spin now won't wash either.

Sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such a s a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the macine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys. Good Luck!

I have a GE MODEL WWSe5240G0WW top loader washer that has seen very little use. My problem is that the unit will not agitate or spin, every thing else seems to work ok. I did remove the top lid switch and jumped the to wires (Yellow/Red and Orange) still did not make any difference. Any in for would be great.

SOURCE: the washer will not drain or spin

more than likely the pump needs replacing, first of all remove the outlet drain hose from the the place it discharges and lower it into a bucket, this should allow it to syphon away, you may need to empyt the bucket a few times once the machine is empty you should be able to put it on its spin cycle once it has spun locate and remove the filter to remove any objects or lint, fill machine with warm water and try to drain and spin via the programme,if this do not work fit a new pump

SOURCE: Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

Washing machine won't drain

When your washing machine won't drain, it could be as simple as a kinked hose or as complicated as a faulty impeller on the pump. Overloading your washing machine can cause items to be swept into the space between the inner and outer tub, leading to clogs in the drain hose or pump. These clogs may be the reason for why your washing machine won't drain. Here are some steps to help you determine the problem and solution:

1. Pinched hose: Is the drain hose at the back of the washer been flattened or twisted in any area? A pinched hose could prevent the water from draining thoroughly. Gently straighten the hose, and make sure there is sufficient room between the back of the washing machine and the wall to prevent a repeat of the problem.

2. Clogged drain hose or pump:
Does the drum spin normally, but the washing machine won't drain the water? Sometimes a piece of clothing, money, fabric or other debris gets into the water between the inner and outer tub. It may then make its way into a drain hose or even into the pump itself. The farther into the machinery a clog goes, the trickier it can be to remove. Call a repair professional for help.

3. Faulty timer: Does your machine fill with water and begin agitating, but the cycle never advances far enough to allow the water to drain? The timer that controls the cycles may be broken. Arrange for washing machine repair service.

4. Worn or loose belts: Are clothes still soaked at the end of a wash, even though the washing machine appears to go through the spin and drain cycles? The timer that controls the cycles may be broken. This is a job for the pros.

5. Faulty or jammed internal impeller on pump: When the spin cycle starts, do you hear a humming noise? The internal impeller that moves the water through the drain pump may be faulty or jammed. A grinding or grating sound is almost always an indication of a coin, button or other object colliding with the impeller. Have a washing machine repair expert determine if the impeller is jammed and can be cleared, or if the pump needs to be replaced.

6. Pump failure: Is your washing machine more than 7 years old? Your pump may simply have worn out. Even if it sounds as though it is running, the pump may not be working well enough to draw the water out of the machine. Replacement parts for pumps are generally unavailable. A new pump may be necessary.

Beko WMP652W washing machine will start cycle but get stuck at end of wash, doesnt go onto rinse or spin any help please?

see the next steps and use the common sense: God bless you
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

I have a admiral capacity plus washing machine, it will do everything water drains fine but won't spin spin.

Hello,

A leading cause of that is a bearing in the main center pulley under the base where the belt is has worn out. It's not as bad as it sounds and the pulley/bearing kit is reasonably priced. If it were something you wanted to try to do yourself the part number is 12002213 it could be found line at

appliancepartpros.com
searspartsdirect.com
assuredparts.com
apdepot.com

or look in your phone book and finda appliance parts retailer in your area

I hope this helps

bad water valve, the stuff you cleaned out of the screen most likely got inside the valve, another thing that can happen if you don't change the valve is that the valve can get stuck in an open position and it won't shut off and flood out your house.call the parts store give them the model number and they will sell you the right valve.next time send the model number and brand name, good luck.

My washing machine won't spin

Make sure all the water is out the tub . Most of the timeits because you drain line is clogged or pump is jambed. Rectify that problem and you should see a result. If the spin drum hums with clothes in it, then check the moror capacitor.
