Hi Cyril Lott,

There is a possibility that the HDMI cable might have failed so try connecting another known good HDMI cable and check if that helps.

Thanks and Regards.

There is a possibility that some drivers are not instaled properly. Try following the below steps which migh help: 1. Click start 2. Type device in the search box and select devic manager. 3. Expand all the options by pressing the '+'key. 4. Check if any device has a red cross mark or Yellow exclamation mark. 5. If yes, then right click on that particular driver and select update driver software. However, if this doesnt help then do send a screenshot of the device manager with all the options expanded.

The network driver is still not installed so we need to install it manually. You will need to visit the Dell Support site, select right operating system and download the right network driver (based on the type of network driver you have) under network tab.

Hi Kiran, ive tried going via the support site, but it's not detecting my operating system. i've tried downloading a windows 7 iso file, but it was a 64 bit, and it says my operating system does not support it. i tried searching a windows 7 32 bit iso file on the net, but cant find 1. could you by any chance assist me with this? im thinking i should rather just re-install windows, seeing as i cannot find/locate a driver for operating system. i have even tried the drivepack solution, but still no luck. attached is my system details. Thank you for assistance

Try seeing if it switched to a different input on your TV if you press the input button on the tv remote you can usually scroll through them and try all of them.

It sounds like your HDMI cable might be fried. Try getting a new HDMI cable and see if it works.

If your desktop used to just appear on your TV when you plugged in the HDMI cable, and now it doesn't: connect the cable, hold down the Windows key and press P, then select either Duplicate or Extend.

Check your settings, both bios and display, for the display priority.Either the settings has been set to inbuilt display and thus cant display on external monitors or the external monitors have been disconnected in bios settings

Look for any loose contacts in RC jacks/sockets/Cable. Connect another input on that input of the TV and check. Connect your ps3 to some other TV and check.

yes you can replace the input board, but that is fairly expensive. HDMI cables can go bad, have you tried a different HDMI cable? Also try hooking up another device to the HDMI input to see if it might be in the Playstation3.

I have a Samsung Series 6-650 LCD TV (Model # LN46A650A1F). I am trying to connect my Laptop to use the TV as a monitor and have done everything to make it work, using a VGA/HDMI cable, but the TV refuses...

Why do you use VGA-HDMI cable? This TV works fine with VGA cable - it has VGA plug.
Or if your notebook has DVI output, then you can use DVI/HDMI cable and connect it to the TV to plug named DVI/HDMI (only one HDMI input is marked as DVI on TV).
I suppose that over HDMI the TV supports only some standard resolutions, but over VGA it supports almost every resolution laptops use. You can find supported resolutions for each input in the TV manual. Try setting the same resolution on the laptop.
