-   I have the same problem with the PGBK cartridge on my canon ip4300. It is the only one that won't print clearly. I have used clean and then deep clean. Anybody have a solution?

-   Having changed to a new colour cartridge, find that green is not printing & picture is fuzzy. Changed to yet another cartridge & works fine. Rang suppliers to complain & they said I should clean printer, nozzles etc.
How do I do this? Can I download an operating manual?
Thankyou.-   llanhilleth

-   Also would like to know how to clean print head or heads. In "Nozzle Test" everything prints fine except the black 6BK. Have tried deep clean a couple of times; doesn't help. Is there a way to clean or must I buy new print head?-   Guest
I've had some success, if one hasn't been printing with the ink dry for awhile , through soaking the entire printhead in a bowl of alcohol. Soaked it for 1-2 days wiping it from time to time. Took awhile, but it worked. Might have to do it again soon. Bottle of rubbing alcohol 80 cents. New print head $38. Rather waste the bottle of alcohol :P
I have not had great success at all with my brother's canon. He ran it clogged for almost a year and I tried the above and it didn't work. I'd say the transistors in the print head probably overheated and it's shot so he bought a new one. Too bad Canon doesn't make it easier to buy new printheads.
You have to remove the print head and let it sit in some rubbing alcohol overnight, then let it dry without heating it. Then run the nozzle check and deep cleaning a few times to purge the system. For more info check this out: http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?p=220269

I've read that inkjets are best for home photos. But I really want a color laser printer ( fax not necessary)for my home that at least does decent photos for my personal use. Any suggestions?
