SOURCE: My welding machine will not weld?

Hi, put the setting on 150 amps, and see if the welder welds. do you have a gas or electric welder?
some welders have a reset botton in front. tell me how many amps your welder produces.

If this doesn’t work for you please write back. Thanks,

Try replacing the circuit breaker. They can/do get weak and tend to trip before they actually reach the rated limit.

SOURCE: my KHHS179LSS-3 will not let you control microwave

I was afraid I needed to replace the microcomputer when my KHHS179L touchpad was unresponsive. I was able to use the ADD A MINUTE feature, so I knew the unit worked. There had been a power outage of less than a minute to my home recently (I was unaware of this until I asked the kids if they had done anything to the microwave). I popped around on fixya.com and really didn't find an easy solution-my favorites. I loaded kitchenaid.com and found the answer in the FAQ's. Although the control lock out icon was NOT LIT-apparently, that power surge locked my controls. By holding the stop button for 5 seconds once and then aagain a second time, miraculously, my touchpad was restored> HOORAY!

I have a ken wood kr-797 stereo receiver but I can get sound but it's very low and I have to have the volume set at 0db in order to hear anything. It's like this on all inputs

I suspect that the pre-amp stage in you amp has failed. What you are hearing is the power amp on full volume. But with no pre-amp to boost the signal it's to low.
What we do know is that the sound is going into the pre-amp and out for you to hear it. This could mean that the power to the pre-amp stage is low, but still present.
Pre-amps these days mostly consist of a single IC. That could have failed, or it is not getting power. Since it would be possible to test the voltages to the IC, one pin should have something on it to the region of 6 to say 20 volts going into it. If the IC has that going to it, it has failed. If the voltages to all the pins are low, then you have a power problem.

My welder will run and weld fine at high idle speed but shuts of when the low idle kicks in. Checked fuel system to see if it was a fuel issue, no problems there. Any ideas?

If you're trying to weld at low idle it may be that the load on the engine stalls it before it can automatically go back to high idle.
You may need to "trick it" back to high idle before you begin welding.

My lincoln ranger 8 has excessive weld spatter compared and the auto idle dosent kick in very fast when I strike off to weld delayed or sticks my rod. My other ranger 8 no issue same heats. Also

weld current and idle control on this machine is controlled by the main circuit board, you mention that you a second ranger 8 that does not exhibit the same problem, you are fortunate in this, remove the board from the functioning machine, install it into the troubled machine, this should correct your problem, you can contact a weld supply store to purchase a replacement pc board

Cannot get my gx 620 preditor welder to slow down after welding

I'm going to presume you mean the wire feed does not stop? If so, the problem is in the motor relay which operates on the trigger along with the weld power since most MIGs do not have OCV on the tip until the trigger is depressed. Keep in mind that, besides failure to open, some relays can be held closed due to current leakage or a faulty ground on the electromagnet coil. The issue is like this... your wire feed relay is in parallel with a larger relay to switch on the primary power of the weld transformer. The larger relay is grounded to the same chassis as the ground of the weld output. Because of a failed diode/rectifier that output can include a low voltage AC or half-wave that will bleed across to the motor relay, keeping it on indefinitely. If this is the case, sticking the ground clamp onto an earth grounded water pipe may stop it. If it does, fix the diode or ground connection. Also check the ground of your power cable. The 24vac control voltage transformer should also be checked for ground to the welder chassis.

Fire power 160 heat range will not go low enough to weld thin material.

You need a smaller welder. Pick up a nice 110 unit that has at least 4 power settings. I have a lincoln 95 amp that will weld body panels on low and 1/2" on high.

My windows control will not go up or down to control any of my windows.

fuse bad.
you mean the fan is dead, no fan, no heat , no A/C.
its dead fan and most die only low speeds and not high.
is your fan dead on HIGH> (big hint here)
the window s on many suzuki have a circuit breaker hidden in dash.
the fan if failed only on low speed,s is a bad fan resistor block hidden
in the fan case. when they fail , hitting the dash causes the broke
wire wound resistors to touch for second and can weld bad for a while but will fail soon.
you car read all about this , for $4

The capacitor(s) may be open. or resistor has failed. It is also possible heat selector is fused to the one setting.

Miller S-54D 115V digital wire feeder that does not weld right.

Hi Kevin,
Causes of poor penetration: Travel speed too fast, welding current too low,
poor joint design / and or preparation, electrode diameter too large,
wrong type of electrode, excessively long arc length.
Solutions: Decrease travel speed, increase welding current, increase root
opening or decrease rootface, use smaller electrode, use electrode with deeper
penetration characteristics, reduce arc length.
