What could be the problem with my tv cause it searches continously without finding any station.it thereafter remains on channel 0 with no image or sound.i have changed tuners but that doesnt help.plea

There seems to be an incompatibility between the TV's setting and the antenna's input.
The TV doesn't see the antenna connection and keeps searching.
Somehow you have to get the TV's 'cable' setting in the menu to 'over the air'.
Is there a clean signal coming to the TV? Sometimes a cable can be compromised where the signal never reaches the input connection. Check both ends or at least replace the cable temporarily.
Last but not least, the TV maybe set to a PIP (secondary tuner with a picture in a picture) and the tuner is not electronically connected.

Factory stereo not working and needs replaced. how does dash come apart to do this

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove cup holder.
  3. Remove trim panel above cupholder by pulling straight out.
  4. Remove center instrument panel trim panel.
  5. Remove screws holding radio to instrument panel.
  6. Pull radio rearward to gain access to the back of radio (RADIO). CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
  7. Disconnect the antenna cable by pulling the locking antenna connector away from the radio (ANTENNA TO RADIO).
  8. Disconnect bolt holding ground strap to the radio (if equipped).
  9. Disconnect the wire connectors from the back of the radio.

Tried to hook up a HD antenna but it won't work

HD is pretty critical and if a indoor antenna do not expect much or anything for that matter.

Emerson hdtv does not pick up any antenna signal

With digital OTA TV signals, a lot of things could cause you to fail to pick up a signal on any channel. First, do you have an indoor or outdoor antenna and how far are you from the transmitters for you local stations? Digital signals are either enough to for the tuner to interpret or you get no signal. Next check that the antenna is pointing at your stations' transmitters. Use antennaweb.org or tvfool.com to check the direction for your location. Antennaweb assumes an external antenna and provides a very conservative list of stations.

Check for buildings, hills or tall trees that might block the signal to your location.

If your antenna is providing a signal to several TVs, try a direct connection (taking out the splitter). You may need an amplified splitter to minimize the signal loss. Note: amplifiers (whether at the splitter or part of the antenna) can fail and become signal filters (blockers) instead. The direct connection tests this as well.

If another TV does pick up the signal from the antenna (at this point), then the tuner may have failed. It may also just be a weaker tuner compared to the other TV. Surges (for example, lightning strikes) can cause a tuner failure. In that case, you need a new tuner. (a stand-alone tuner like the converter boxes might work) or try a site like shopjimmy.com, searspartsdirect.com or partstore.com. SearsPartsDirect lists the tuner here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/Emerson-Parts/Television-Parts/UTUNATSSP006/0057/528/Model-LC320EM9/0352/0333600?keySuffixId=NA&pathTaken=partSearch&pathRender=modelComponent&documentCompId=50034435&diagramPageId=00001&productTypeId=x&searchModelNumber=LC320EM9&subCompDesc=Lcd%20tv&brandDesc=EMERSON&modelDesc=LCD-TELEVISION&blt=11&shdMod= .

This TV was made by Funai so you may see other TVs that use the same part.

I hope this helps.

(I have two TVs with different quality tuners. With one, when the antenna shifts slightly out of place, I can lose the ability to tune in the channels from the closest transmitters. The other TV does not lose the signal until the antenna rotates more than 90 degrees from its usual position.)

No stereo signal from FM? I have had this receiver for several years. I have tried several times to get a stereo FM signal. I have tried a "T" shaped antenna, an "S" shaped antenna...

Appears that your multiplex circuit in receiver is fubar. Also make sure that your receiver is set to the Stereo mode since the mono mode will also turn off the tuner stereo section.

Lose signal and when signal comes back in, it changes the channel to channel 1 preview.

Is it possible that you antennae if faulty. Please check if the insulatiion is weak or the antennae is shorting to ground. This can make the signals go bad and make the set hunting and go back to search mode .If the antennae is fine then the problem could be in the front end stage of the tuner. You will require an expert probe to look for signal weaking in this stage but if you can open the set and cean and solder the areas closer to the antennae output. hope this helps. Good day

Intermintent stereo in 97 caravan

sound like the tuner it's self is going bad.  Have you checked the antenna connections?  Try holding on to the antenna when the radio is fading out.  Sadly the radio is part of the stereo and not a separate module.  You need a new stereo, get one with HD radio...you'll love it.

Off air digital signal

What brand of tv is it ? You could have a bad tuner or a change in the voltage supply line feeding the tuner . What type of antenna do you have ? outdoor or rabbit ears ? Also does it retain the channel line up or does it clear them as well ?
