I Have 2 recivers and 4 mics but can't use all 4 only 2 works

A wireless mic receiver will only reliably work with one mic at a time. For that reason, you need to have 4 receivers in order to use 4 mics simultaneously. You could switch back and forth between mics by setting them to the same frequency and turning them on and off, but they will not work reliably if they're both on at the same time.

I have the AKG wms 40 dual mini mic set with two wireless mics. When mic on ch 2 is in the off position, I get lots of static. Works perfectly fine when on. What do you think is the issue?

Channel 2 mic's receiver needs the Squelch adjusted. The squelch control mutes the receiver so that when the transmitter stops transmitting, erroneous noises are not picked up and amplified.

What is the switch for on the Phantom power unit at the end of my AKG C747?

Hi,the switch for the phantom power on the microphone is to activation of the mic.Without the phantom being activated, the mic will not work.

It can only be activated with a mixer console that has a phantom activation on it. After connecting the mic to the mixer, activate the phantompoweronthe mixer and switch on the phantom power on the mic,and problem solved.

Note: Mic will not work if no phantom activated on the mixer.

AKG PT 80 transmitter stopped transmitting.

Still sounds like battery. Are you using alkaline batteries. Theres mic transmitters need a fair discharge rate whilst transmitting and maybe your current battery in not giving enough current.

Extremely weak RF from AKG WMS 60 Hand Held Mic

I don't know what you've tried already to improve the signal level, so i'll list a few things that migt help.

It might help to put new batteries in (with the right voltage) You probably did that already.

There is a GAIN pot on the mic, in the battery compartment under the ring that is screwed onto the mic. When you adjust the GAIN, there will probably be better SN-ratio, but it does'nt change the RF signal

You could also adjust the antennas of the receiver, or try to set a different frequency (depends on which country you live in, in some countries it is illegal to change frequencies) or turn off the SQUELCH on the receiver

If this does'nt help, you could look for a user manual and try to find a solution in it.

There are some other solutions to improve RF signal, but those are quite expensive.

Mute on- no button?

The unit will display "Mute" for a myriad of reasons, but the most common seem to be that it is not receiving an RF signal from the microphone. Be sure that the batteries in the mic function properly, and that the mic is close enough to the receiver to get an initial signal.

Otherwise, check the menus - it doesn't appear to have a "hard" mute switch, but one of the "Soft" menus may have that information.
