look on the back of the TV and see which input you've connected a cable to. unplug the cable at the TV and then plug it back in and do the same thing at the other end of the cable, this is just to make sure cable is making a good connection. then put the TV on whatever input
Based on what you're saying it can only be a few things. Trying putting the HDMI cable into a different port on the tv and change input. Try changing the HDMI cable. If that doesn't work, change over to component cables, change TV input again and see if that works.
Regular tv imcomming broadcasting tv signal still work?Yes.Tries all tv video inputs signals like 1,2,3 so on to make sure ur tv video signal input is in the wright tv video input.Or the cable set u are using right now could be bad too.Tries websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy a new set of cable for the replacement.

The way to hook up the dvd player to the television to to put a cable into the output signal section of the dvd player( Ther may be many different ways to hook-up the signal s-video and component video, regular video. You must pick one of these output signal sources to put into the input section of your television by matching them up i.e s-video out to s-video input compnent video output to component video input, regular video out to regular video input. For each of these video hook-ups there will also be a set of two sound cables. Look on the back of your television for the signal input section and hook up the video cables and the sound cables to your selected input. You should do this with both units turned off in order not to damage the circuits by shorting them on cable insertions ofr causing heavy feedback in the circuits. One this connection is complete. Trun on the television first and select the TV's signal source . By pressing the input button and using the up and down arrows to find the correct selection. By matching up all three sources you now should have the correct signal path. Turn your DVD and test the controls. try using the volume control and use you dvd to to play,ff, or stop the dvd.If all this works then you have done the set up correctly and can now enjoy your dvd's on the television Hope this helps you with your problem..
You may have to access the initial setup menu to force the set to look at the cable input.
Although that is typically the default today, it may be looking for signals from an antenna.
Broadcast and cable use different frequency ranges so the set has to be able to see the range you are trying to watch.
When your tv shows a blue screen it not getting a signal!! In your mit's you have to go into the customer menu and turn on the input/device. The device control is on the remote, click over to input and activate (enter). Also, look into owners manual, the customer service at mit's will step you through it if you wish. Note: put cables into comp 1 (eg), make sure colored cables are correctly inserted, and audio. (red, blue, green) red/white; audio.
I just spent an hour trying to fix the VIZIO with the same problem. The screen had no picture at all, but could hear the sound perfectly!! But we i figured out the solution! UNPLUG THE CABLE BOX AND LET IT RE-BOOT! and it WORKED!!!!!
I started back in the day of tubes. A family would have one set and it would be a 19" black and white.
There are different resolutions now.
The components probably do work, but, they don't pass the 480i signal. The satelite converter's analog signal needs to be set to 480p and the DVD needs to be set to progressive if it does have that setting. If the DVD is not a progressive scan DVD, then, the only inputs that it will show on is the analog signal.
Some of the dish converters have a switch on the face for changing the resolution.
If yours doesn't then put it in an analog source and go to the menu and change it there. Then move it to the component input.
Hope this helps.
