Please help me : :' my pc is lenovo g500 and i forgot password bios who help me please

Hi,

I do google your problem and look to the lenovo G500 manual.
here's the manual says.

BIOS password problems I forgot my password. • If you forget your user password, you must ask the system administrator to reset your user password. • If you forget your HDD password, a Lenovo authorized servicer cannot reset your password or recover data from the hard disk. You must take your computer to a Lenovo authorized servicer or a marketing representative to have the hard disk drive replaced. Proof of purchase is required, and a fee will be charged for parts and service. • If you forget your administrator password, a Lenovo authorized servicer cannot reset your password. But in my own way of troubleshooting.
1. open your Lenovo G500
2. Check your motherboard and look for bios/cmos battery.
3. Remove the battery
4. Get flat screw driver then put it between two pins where the cmos battery attached.
5. Hold it for 10 to 15 sec.
6. Put the cmos battery back and the motherboard
7. Power it up and holla the bios setting has been reset to default.

My bios is lockd

Near the button cell backup battery, which is probably a CR series,
there is normally a reset jumper, which shorts the NV ram. This will factory reset the bios. Or you can remove the battery for a while. If it is an AMI bios, type in AMI for the password.

Lenovo 3000 n200 bad bios flash

You can try removing the CMOS battery for a few hours. Did the BIOS update come from Lenovo website? What was the reason for the BIOS update, a problem? Altering the BIOS or the System Registry is like taking a stroll in a minefield, one wrong step and............well you know. Take a look at this forum: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-3000-and-Essential/Help-How-to-reset-CMOS-on-3000-N200-model-0769/td-p/57678

I still need help to find diagrams to show me how to remove the cmos battery please :-)

Generally, CMOS batteries on MOST current portables is not removable, why are you wanting to remove it? If you are trying to reset a HDD or BIOS password, removing the battery will not resolve.

I NEED RESET THE CMOS EN MY LAPTOP LENOVO Z61t, PLEASE HELP MY

Hi, the standard reset solution for laptops is to remove AC power and battery then hold down the power button for one minute to clear the memorys. In my experience this only works for a limited number of laptops. The alternative is to open up the laptop and remove the cmos battery overnight which works in most cases. If this is a modern IBM and reading between the lines you are asking this question in order to clear a bios password then neither method is likely to work, worth a try anyways tho.

Hope this helps

I lost my bios password on a s10e netbook. does someone know how to fix it ? The user password is OK, but not the administrator.

If you're really sure that it's the BIOS password, you can reset that by resetting the CMOS battery in the laptop. You can reset the CMOS battery by removing it and placing it back again. You can ask a local technician how to do this.

Where is the Bios Battery in a Lenovo 3000 N200?? Please please please, my f... Laptop doesn´t work anymore!! Thanks a lot...

Just some troubleshooting suggestions:

1. Try starting it using the "Lenovo Care" button (the one with the orange wrench above it.
2. Reset the BIOS CMOS (there is a tiny CLRP1 spot under the RAM)
3. Try to start it without any RAM or HD.

Hope this helps.
