What brand condensing unit? Different brands use different colors.
Coleman not a common brand in my area, but logically the red should be common, large brown hermetic, and small brown is fan.
However to be sure you need to trace each wire to its termination.
Look at the wires coming out from the compressor and find which of the three wires corresponds to one of the three wires you are wanting to connect, then connect that one to hermetic. Then trace (probably the red wire ) and see if it connects to the contactor. If it does then connect that to common. Only one left will go to fan.

I just replaced the fan and the capastitor on an outside air conditioner unit yesterday. Today it was blowing so cold I increased the temp. on the thermostat. Now it is blowing 77 degrees air instead of...

The air being blown at the condensing unit isn't the air that blows inside. I seriously doubt what you said about it getting so cold. I believe that the wires to the capacitor were improperly installed, and your compressor isn't operating. Don't confuse the outdoor fan operation with compressor operation (they both share the same contactor as a switch). On the capacitor, the brown wire connects to fan, compressor attaches to "HERM" common attaches to the contactor. I didn't mention the colors of the common or compressor wires because they differ among manufacturers.

Check freon by pressure gauge and thermometer. If have fixed orffice metering device use superheat method. If have TXV thermostatic expansion valve use subcooling method.Check capacitor with multimeter on micro fered setting power supply must be off. Remove wires check fan with one lead on common "C" and one on fan. Check compressor with one lead on "C" and one on herm.

Need capacitor wiring diagram

No model number gotta shoot from the hip on this one:

The cap has 3 sections: Herm for compressor, F for fan, and C for common.
The common section of the cap gets a hot wire off the power cord, a wire from compressor marked C on compressor and a white common wire from the fan gets connected to C on that cap. These wires are almost always white in color on American OEM. The fan has a small brown wire that connects to F on tha cap. The compressor has a wire marked S on it make a note of that color wire and connect it to the section on the cap called HERM. Herm stands for hermedtically sealed compressor. So both your commons and a hot wire go to C. You need one small brown wire which goes to F from the fan. One wire marked S on the compressor goes to Herm for compressor starting. S stands for start winding.
Lets look at typical American fan motor wires: The fan has a black wire for high speed a blue wire for medium and a red wire for low. It has white wire for common, and a brown wire for capacitor. Connect your common fan wire to common and the brown wire to F.
With that cap properly connected basically all you would need to do to make it run is connect a fan speed, the compressor wire marked R for RUN, and and the other power wire.

Hello I have a 26 BTU LG split unit AC the capacitor in the compressor unit need to be replaced but I don't know how is the wiring connection the capacitor has three heads remarked as...

Hi, The Capactor that you are talking about is a dual capactor. It works the fan and the hermitic compressor in one. The leg common is power into the capictor, The fan leg goes to the outdoor fan, the herm leg goes to the compressor. Good advice is when you change the capacitor you should also change any other start componants that are also there. I hope this helps.

I replased the blower moter and i dont now how the wirering goes

purple wire common to capacitor brown fan terminal to capacitor capacitor is a canister that wires plug into it has three legs common fan and herm your last wire may go to contactor or defrost board or fan relay if you look on you drawing it will tell you where these go if its a indoor blower it is breviated idm if outdoor fan it will be odm all wires are color coded and fairly easy to trace you can also cross-out the wires that are hooked up in the unit with the drawing leaving those three but above all make sure the power is off when doing this a capcitor produces more power it turns 120v into 370 volt

Split AC capacitor fused.

You need to trace the wires back to the device ie compressor, the fan now then write the color down. Note the capacitor has two different sides to it herm which is compressor and fan. then the common in the middle. Take the compressor wire should only be one and connect it to the herm. Now take the fan should only be one again and connect to fan. two devices connected. You might have two more wires and they go to the common. If you need any more help just get back to me. ken

Rewire air conditioner controls

Assuming "Window Unit" with rotary switch.
L1 (smooth part of line cord) to thermostat 1, thermostat 2 to overload (black disk) from overload to Common( C) terminal on compressor.
From Run (R) terminal on Compressor to Common (C) terminal on dual capacitor. From Start (S) terminal on Compressor to "Herm" terminal on capacitor. From fan motor to # 4 on switch = Medium Speed, to # 6 on switch = High Speed, from fan motor to # 7 on switch - Low Speed. Brown wire from fan motor to (F) on dual capacitor, white wire from fan to (C) on capacitor and L2 (ribbedwire) (N) to (C) on capacitor
