Even with a fully charged battery i need to use a battery pack to start the van when it does start the cooling van comes on for a minute then goes off and that continues

Check rear AC in van and turn it off. Most vans have dual AC. Even if the front AC is off, the rear is still usually on and some vehicles have the cooling fan and condenser fan run together to help with cooling. Check relay and fuse also.

My ford transit 02 plate had it a while now been running fine till the past 2weeks! Drives 100yards cuts out then has no problem starting drives 50 yards then cuts out again. Still having same problem

Drive belt on escort van 51 plate diesel replacement

If you are installing it correctly then go to auto parts and get next size up, or you can ask for the size you need. for example if you need it 2inches bigger they can give you a 2inch bigger belt. or if you are not sure how it goes on then let me know.

You havent said which engine you have got so I presume it is the 1.8 diesel. Therefore, when you go to start it when it is cold, wait for the glow plug light to go off then wait approx another 15 seconds as the glow plugs continue to heat up after the light goes off before you try to start it.

try putting a 12v feed to the heater fan, if it works, you have a problem with your wiring, if it doesnt work, your blower is faulty.

ive got a 55 plate 85 T260 swb crewcab 68000 miles, , i bought it 12 months ago, red light flashes on dash board most days, some times arratically, sometimes quite slow, and all clocks, speedo and dash does not work?????????
the smallest scratch and the van rusts, no under seal, there just a use it and dump it van.

i would just like to say fords are ****

Sounds like either a temp. sensor, or a timer malfunction. There are heat sensors that make the fan run after you shut it down, until it's cooler, usually doesn't run long. You didn't mention if it continually runs, or if it shuts down after awhile. Other than taking it to a shop, check your fuses, wires connecting the fan under the hood, look for any frayed wires and/or loose clips. Good Luck. Grimm

Thank you for your suggestion the fan is continuing to go all the time flattened the battery. We have disconnected the plug now.
