Question about Mamiya Professional Rb 67 Pro S W/ Pro S 120 Back, Sekor-c 90 Mm F3.8 Lens

Open Question

Why is the cocked lever of my Mamiya rb67 stuck?

I just purchase an RB 67 professional which looks in very good conditions. I have moved couples of times both **** lever wind the lever for film to advance and the shutter and all works perfectly. Until just today a moved the **** lever and just stop half way and stuck. The lever is half way does not move either way. The lens ring rotates counter clockwise but does not reach the red mark to enable to take the lens off. The shutter is locked. I have tried to switch the knob left side to M and off the blind leaf out to the triangle, brought the speed a 1 sec but shutter do not fire and the lever is stuck. Any help to find the way how to disengage the **** lever. Thanks to anyone can help

SOURCE: My Mamiya RB67 triggers and shutter lease lever

This is not the best solution as it indicates a faulty film back. The film should advance without resorting to activating the film-wind release lever. That is only for intentionally advancing a partially exposed roll of film. Make sure the multi-exposure lever is not engaged and that the counter does advance and the red mark disappears as you advance to an unexposed frame.

SOURCE: Mamiya C3 film advance

Hi there,Here's a link to a PDF instruction manual of your camera body.
http://www.cameramanuals.org/mamiya_pdf/mamiya_c3.pdf

It is possible that the crank handle is missing, as it is a removable piece. Bring your camera to a camera shop and see if they have a box of old parts to replace it with. You can either use a regular round knob, or (if you're lucky) one with a crank on it.

Good luck!

I just got a Mamiya rb67 on ebay and I cannot get the cocking release lever to move or the shutter for that matter. I didn't want to force anything. I have looked at the manuals on the web, but cannot...

Have you tried it without the back attached, or without a dark slide in the back? Many cameras have an interlock preventing the shutter from firing while the slide is in. If that doesn't work, remove the lense and try it all over again - many times on these model's the problem lies in the lense, not in the body.

If neither works, consult a tech. But, expect more in repairs than you probably paid for the camera since these things are going for well under $300 these days.

I have a RB67 pro SD and just bought a #1 extension tube for it but the lens doesn't want to mount deep enough? What am I doing wrong? I can't close the lock ring.

You might have an earlier rb pro S ( not pro sd ) version.
The later pro sd lenses have a larger diameter rear element.
The rb67prosd extension yube is clearly marked pro sd the older version just has-

Mamiya RZ 67 lens is stuck on body

This is likely because the shutter has not been cocked all the way. Return the lens to the fully locked position and advance the film with the lever all the way down to reset the shutter. If it still doesn't work, move the lever to M for multiple exposure, make sure the back is aligned and trip the shutter release. Then fully **** the shutter again by pressing the advance lever down fully and again until it is reset. Then try to remove the lens again.

Mamiya RB67 ProS wont trigger or advance

Start by making sure the dark slide is removed, the camera will not fire with it in place. The next step is to check the rotating back to make sure it is locked in either the vertical or horizontal position. Without film in the magazine, the multi-exp lever on the back must be set to show the red dot under the advance lever. You can check the camera without the back by removing the rotating back using the latch on the bottom of the camera
