After running normally for 2 years, this last time, after the machine finished the drying cycle, instead of turning off, the START light blinked for awhile, then the lights on the cycles I selected turned on, and the machine started running from the beginning by itself. And continues to do so. I have to open the door to stop it. if i close the door, it starts again.

Left unplugged over night. Plugged back in next morning, Same cycle lights start flashing and it starts running from the first cycle again. So, do I buy just the electronic module behind the front panel, or get a new front panel too?

SOURCE: indesit w93 washing machine fills with water but doesn't start washing

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim

SOURCE: Washing machine problem

my w830 is doing exactly the same thing.

I am usually pretty good at fixing these sort of things so if/when I solve it I will post back here.

I think it is a motor fault - most likely the motor brushes are worn out.

Firstly check the brush module is correctly located this can be done with a multimeter. you should get continuity between sets of pins. first pin on right of module is earth moving to left next two are the overload(continuity) next three are field coil windings(continuity between at least 2 out of 3 spin speed dependent) next two are brushes(continuity) next two are the tacho.(500 ohms) If this checks out OK. Then most likely you require new power electronic which clips on the back of control electronic

SOURCE: have a whirlpool AWO 3551 washing machine. Door

My daughter had the same problem for about two years. A repair man came out and told her to call the company and tell them she wanted it fixed under a recall. She said the computer board had to be replaced and it was recalled due to a flaw in the machine. The service man came back again after she called, and he fixed it for free.

SOURCE: Maytag Washer Lid lock light

Its normal for the machine to cycle the lock before starting its cycle. I'm assuming your machine is a bravos style.

my whirlpool is doing the same thing. I'm trying to find a wiring diagram with not much luck. A work around I use is to turn the breaker on the fuse box off for 5 seconds then back on. The dishwasher then works for one cycle.

Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer drains as it fills.

The water is probably siphoning out of the tub. Your drain pipe is either too low or the drain hose is down too far into the pipe. Take the drain hose out of the pipe and lift it high. I'll bet your problem goes away

My maytag dishwasher will run for a short then stop running, I'll push on the door the machine will run again then will stop again

your door is not staying latched.. imagine if it did stay running and the door came completely open, what a mess that would be. so there are safety switches that help stop the washing if the door opens. not too sure how to fix your exact washer.. but the problem is the door not staying closed. maybe you can jamm the door shut while it is running? its not the best answer, but probably the most free way to fix it

Just rehook the clear tube back onto the air dome (back right side of drum), drain any water from the drum, the refill, pressure switch will reset itself. Start to fill on small load size first, then move up when washer starts to be sure it reset all the sizes.
