Question about Computers & Internet
One thing comes to mind, other than trying all your old passwords that you can remember. Almost every laptop and p.c. has a "factory password" or "universal password" that techs, repair shops, police etc. use to access a password protected locked computer. The codes are built-in and cannot be changed. They are not usually easy to find, the codes that are, unless you know where to look and how to ask. If your comp is still under warranty, take it to the shop where you got it and see if they'll do it. I say that because opening the case will void the warranty. If it's not under warranty, open it up and write down the brand, model, serial #, c.p.u #, motherboard #, H/D # and maybe even the O.S. #. After that you can go online and try to find the "universal password". But when in doubt, call around some comp repair shops, explain the problem, ask for a price quote. Some will tell you those codes don't exist, but really, they do. Or better, if you know a "GEEK", take it to him/her. And no it's not a 4 letter word anymore, I am one. Good Luck. Grimm - If you succeed in getting a universal password, hold onto it.
