If no DVD reader in a PC can read it, you are out of luck my friend. There are companies that can read hard drives for $5K a MB for files you thought were deleted. They charge $50K a MB for damaged hard drives. I do not know of technology to recover faulty DVDs/CDs.

Sad to say but if you already cleaned it there is no hope to recover data!! must not have been that important to have gotten all scratched up

Micro sd card

This means that the device that is trying to READ the card doesn't like something about the card. it also means your card is on the verge of "dying" and should be replaced.

This could make retreiving your data difficult. Try various card readers to see if you can get access to the data and then copy it to your hard drive. Then you can reformat the card and see if that fixes it. If not throw it away and get a new one.

They sell cheap card readers at wal'mart and other stores that can help you read the file...

Unfortunately it seems that pen drive was poorly made and has physically broken.

There are services out there that will try to retrieve data from damaged media, but they are often expensive and not worth the cost.

When i try to format my pc it asks me to select a drive and when i click on C:/ it tells me that the drive is damaged and cannot be formatted..whereas it shows me correctly about my othe drives...pls help...

You shouldn't ever format a drive unless you wish to destroy all data. If the drive is damaged, then it may NOT be able to be handled by normal software you may have to run data recovery software, there are many free types on the internet to download. to recover, any data that can be.
Usually C:\ is the Drive where the boot track and Windows, and data like in My Documents is kept, if this is formatted over, it will damage the data on this disc, rendering it useless.
If you wish to recover data you will as said have to find some other way. When all data is removed, or whatever, then the drive could be formatted for re-formatting, and re-installing of Windows.

How can i retrieve my files from a broken memory stick pro duo

It depends how it is broken, if there is a physical reason, broken connection inside, then it will be possible but if the ram chip inside has died then sorry you've lost it all.
If the chip itself is not damaged, then the data can be recovered.

It will probably cost you money, so it all depends on how important the data is.

It is unlikely that you will be able to do this yourself, but there are companies out there that specialize in recovering data from damaged drives.

Picture freezing and discoloration!

Hello,

This is due to a buffer issue, to be more precise, the signal that comprises the picture and the audio are streams of data that go into a buffer and then into the processor. When the signal is at the proper level and the stream is not corrupted the image on the screen is ok, but when the signal is not at the proper level and the data stream becomes corrupted the pre-processor throws parts of the data away, and feeds the rest into the buffer wich goes into the main processor. Herein lays your problem if the main processor rejects the data or the buffer runs out of data due to the preprocessor throwing away data also you will get the screen freezing and pixelation (the square blocked dsicoloration you are talking about).

Now that we know what the problem is how do you fix it. First of all I would suggest following the owners manual procedure on downloading the software patch/upgrade for this TV. Then after using the software patch/upgrade, see if this helps. If not then you have a hardware issue. I have seen this problem caused by dried out or damaged filter capacitors (thes capacitors filter the DC voltage and if they go bad ther could be a relationship between the "dirty voltage" and the corruption of your data.

I any event I would suggest that you have a qualified TV technician repir this TV for to avoid any damage that may result from a missed procedure or lack of TV repair knowledge.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
