I have main combi 24 if you run water slow it is hot but if you turn it up it is luke warm water

see pic;

Notice the red in the 1st picture? That is all hot water. When you have a broken dip tube the cold water is 3/4 of the water heater.

So like in your case, if you run water slower you may get hotter water longer, but if you run at faster rate, hot water short time and then cold.

Check & if needed replace the dip tube. Easy fix

Worcester 350 combi boiler on but water cold and radiators cold. Have put pressure up but made no difference. What's wrong with it?

If the inline pump is not working no hot water will flow into your radiators. The pump pushes the water in the lines to create a water flow. Increasing the pressure will not help in this case. I recommend you put the pressure back down as it usually is preset when the boiler is installed. My pump is about three feet back of the boiler on the intake line. If you don't know what you are doing I recommend getting a repair man as you could create more problems by over heating the boiler its self and blowing the electrical parts up.

Central heating radiators downstairs take a long time to heat up

Problem is balancing & flow. Turn down the other rads until the inlet [flow] pipe is hot but the outlet [return] is luke warm. The rads have two valves - use the one which has a non-operation cap [just turns without doing anything]. when all the rads are the same temperature the system is said to be balanced and should be left like that using the other valves [with operating cap] to turn them on or off as required

Parkray Cumbria efficiency problem

Some circulation pumps have a 3 phase mixing valve (cold,warm,hot) to regulate the water pressure in the building; no way to know unless you trace the plumbing. Basically, the hot water temperature could be lost because the circ-pump is cooling it with the cold water supplied to it. This is used to balance the pressure (aka Pressure Balancing Circ-Pump), so heater is really working overtime to heat the water. If the pump has two in and one out that's more than likely your problem; but you should consult a "old-school" plumber in your area.
