Re: Does not turn on
This sounds like an internal circuit issue, and nothing you can really do. If everything is set correctly, and it keeps doing this, then you might have a faulty circuit(s). Professional help should be sought at this point.

There should be an option in your setup menu to perform a reset. Reset all settings to factory defaults and try it then. This will sometime sfix this problem. If not, then you are looking at a really expensive replacement main board that will cost you more than the unit is worth
Resetting the TV If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:
NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time. 1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7. Turn on the TV.

I had a LRM-519 that would not get past a very dimly lit "hello" on the
LED screen. I called tech support and was advised to make sure no disk
was in the unit and turn off the power from the unit (not the remote)
and unplug it from the wall outlet. While unplugged, hold down the
power button for 30 seconds then plug it back in. This didn't work the
first time, but after a few tries it worked for me. My unit hadn't
worked for nearly 3 months prior to this. Good luck.
Have you tried resetting the recorder to it's default settings either through the menu or by pressing and holding the power button while unplugging it. After unplugging leave it of for a few minutes and then turn it on again.
