SOURCE: electric door locks - button will lock all doors

You may have a loose connection and the only way to check it is to remove the door panel and look - unplug and replug the door in and it will most likely be good for 100 years.

Where is the reset button on vulcan fryer?

Most Vulcan fryers do not have a reset button. The high limit is self resetting when the fryer cools down to a safe temperature.

My vulcan lg 300 deep fryer latch won't turn what should I do

Some fryer valves have a safety lock, usually a slide on the handle near the valve body that must be released to open the valve. Check for this first. It's very rare for a fryer valve to stick unless it was forced shut with something partially blocking it. If not, let the fryer cool completely. Dip as much oil out as possible. Then disconnect the gas line and, with help, turn the fryer upside down draining the remaining oil into a suitable container. At this point, you have little to lose. Take a large wrench or piece of pipe to get more leverage and try to force it open and free it up. Do not use so much force that you damage the kettle. If you get it free, check to see that it does not leak before putting oil back in the fryer. If it leaks or fails to come free, replace the valve.

I am not sure what what model number I have, but when I try to light this older Vulcan deep fryer it doesn't light at all nor do I smell any propane. It's as if it's not getting any gas.

This is our number one issue with gas fryers... Not being able to get the unit lite.... Normally our service techs tell our customers they are not holding down the pilot light button long enough. The sensors in there take some time to get hot enough to send a signal to the pilot telling it to light... If you need someone to walk you through it, call Ray at 888-542-5959, at Restaurant Equipment Outlet.

All the lights are on but does not heat up

I'm assuming this is an electric fryer...Sounds like your thermostat may be bad...The lights and the therostat would be two different things... You could call Vulcan directly and ask for warranty/parts and ask for help or call us at 888-542-5959... Thanks, Susan @ Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio reocincinnati@yahoo.com

Need to know where to light pilot

Normally, it's under the fryer, inside the door...The issue almost always is you have to press the button down long enough for the sensor to tell the fryer to light....There are 3 or 4 burners in the bottom of the frypot on top and under the fryer is the pilot to light these all up...Look for the gas valve, turn the gas valve to pilot, and press and hold it down, put flame to pilot and release button when flame is self standing... Then turn to on position. If you have other issues, call the Vulcan company themselves, and they will help you further.... Susan Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cinc, Oh www.restaurantequipmentinc.com
