Hello Carol
The first thing to do is contact your Phone Service Provider and check that you have a text service in operation and that you have credits available. Also International texting needs authorization on most plans.
It is frustrating when only your phone cannot send text messages no matter how strong the network signal is. Sometimes you feel nobody cares about or remembers you because nobody calls or texts you but actually there are. Your phone just can't be reached or can't receive text messages. When these happen, turn off the phone; remove the battery and then the SIM card. Insert the SIM card to another phone and try sending text messages; if you still cannot send text messages, remove the SIM card and let it sit off the phone for at least fifteen minutes then insert it gain. You should be able to send text messages after that, but make sure you have credits.
The next thing you should look into is the phone. Make sure network signal is present then insert a known good SIM card in your phone and try sending text messages. Reset the phone if you still cannot send text messages, but back up important files and data, such as contacts, videos, images, and messages, before doing so.
One simple way to "reset" the phone is by removing the battery and letting it sit for at least fifteen minutes. Another way is by restoring the phone settings to factory settings. Simply navigate to settings then phone settings and select "restore to full factory settings" depending on the brand and model of the phone.
This tip is not intended to solve virus or firmware problems but rather to avoid unnecessary visit to the service center and save few bucks from a problem only caused by a simple electronic glitch. Check the network signal strength and your credits before jumping into any conclusion.
This sounds like you're out of credit on your phone. When I send texts, I'm charged a fee. But it's free to receive them. Maybe this is why?
To avoid this problem, you can send and receive texts through your email account. That way you always get your texts, whether or not you're out of credit on your phone. Try Bulletin Messenger: https://www.bulletin.net/product-messenger.html
When you send out text messages, and the message goes to out box, it could be any of the following: 1. The funds on the line is not sufficient to send the message. So, check your balance (especially if you are a pre-paid subscriber), and if it is insufficient, recharge your line. 2. In the event that the above is not the case, then your messages centre number may have been tampered with. To confirm if it has been tampered with or not; from 'menu', go to 'messages', then 'message setting', then 'sending profile', select the profile in use, then 'message centre number' select the number , if it has been tampered with yuo would see it. But in the event that you dont know yuor message centre nuber, check the number on another phone of the same network as yours, using the same steps to get to the message centre number. If the number on your phone is wrong, correct it with that of the cheking phone, and select 'ok'. Then try sending a message. 3. If all the above suggestions did not work, then it should be a network fault. Call your mobile service povider for more information.
If you are using a prepaid sim card, It means that you do not have enough credits to be able to send text messages or call someone. You need to buy more credits so you can make calls and send text messages.
when phones save messages in their outbox, its because the cannot send the message at that time. some reasons include insufficient airtime, or incorrect message settings. i doubt if it would be the insufficient airtime, because i expect you would have checked that. if its a newly acquired phone, you have just put in a new sim card or you used it outside of your region recently, its probably the message settings. when you open your message folder, go to options and check for settings, check for text message/ general settings, there is an option known as message center number, compare it with that of someone using the same communications company as you and not having that same problem. if it is different, change yours. this should do it, if it doesn't, call the customer service support center of your operator
The problem is from your message center number,it has been changed.
what you should do is to contact your service provider and request for the message center number, you will then go to message settings, select text message,go to message center and type the number you have been given, save it then restart your phone
hey there.....i guess you haven`t recharged your sim for a while or there is serious problem with your sim..........contacting your service operator would ease you out of your misery.... bye...thanks
If your phone is a prepaid service and it has run out of credit at sometime recently this may be what is causing the trouble.
these services get stopped when there is no credit and are supposed to automatically turn on when credit is reapplied but sometimes it only half turns on so double check with your supplier that you are actually live to recieve messages
