First go to the BIOS , > shut the system , turn it on and tap F2 and the bios will come, check if the DVD getting detected , to isolate hardware issue or software issue.
And if detected, save and exit. F10 and then go to device manager
look for DVD /CD rom and right click on it and uninstall and make sure u do not click on delete and then restart the system and check it should fix it .

Incase it does not , then its either a software issue , operating system reinstall needs to be performed.

If you are getting power, the indicator lights up, then you're better off buying a new one. If the power doesn't light up, it may be a burnt out fuse. A single fuse is located near the power supply, where the cord goes inside the back. You will have to separate the top and bottom covers and look to see it. Sometimes, the fuse is located elsewhere, but that is unusual. They look like small glass cylinders with a small metal wire inside. It it's burnt out, bring the old one with you to Radio Shack and they will make sure you get the proper replacement.

Nothing on screen when DVD inputs are plugged into our Aquos.

Check that the input you are plugging the DVD into on the TV is actually selected as the TVs input. Try using a different input and also different input types/cables. Most DVD players will have HDMI and also either component or composite type outputs. Try the different cable type and make sure the TV is looking at the correct input. Do you have sound?

DVD Player doesn't work on DRC6355N VCR/DVD Combo

With most dvd/vcr combo units there is separate wiring. When I use my emerson combo unit I have it wired that I have to be on different inputs on my tv to view a dvd and a vhs. On some units the vcr portion is wired via a regular cable line, while the dvd portion is wired with the yellow, red, and white component cable. Try inserting a dvd and scrolling through your tv inputs until you find the picture or check your wiring to ensure nothing has come loose. If that has no result you could try wiring it differently if possible to eliminate that as a possibility.
