Question about Maytag MSD2756G Side by Side Refrigerator
Either the micro switch that is activated when you depress the water paddle or the water valve in the back is faulty. You can put a meter on the two wires at the water solenoid and see if the power drops out before the water stops. If so then the valve is bad. If not then the micro switch is still calling for water and may be sticking.

Need to enquire from the agents if that dispenser switch is available as a spare part. If so, switch off and strip carefully as logic shows you.

I called a repair man to fix this problem - "FixYa" was absolutely useless in this case. Turns out there was a short on the control board and it needed to be replaced.
