It's not a worm gear, just a small gear on the motor and a long
metal gear an the regulator. They are riveted in,if the door panel
cracked or a rivet came loose the gears may have slipped, have to
pull the door panel to see.

Why won't my sprinkler turn. The water comes out fine, but it won't rotate. Mine is a plastic model, and I can't figure out how to get inside.

1) Use a 5/16 nut driver (or flat screwdriver) and remove 5 screws holding body to motor assembly.
2) Use pliers to hold the worm bearing assembly where the tee screws in. Hold worm bearing and remove tee.
3) Use a 3/8 inch allen wrench to remove the worm bearing assembly. The allen wrench is placed in the same hole where the tee was located. (Removing the worm bearing assembly allows you to separate the upper motor housing from the lower housing.)

Use care when removing the top and bottom halves as sometimes the small flat washers tends to fall off the shaft when you open sections.

When screwing worm bearing assembly into the lower motor housing, you are screwing brass into plastic. If over tightened, the housing will split. Rule of thumb: tighten until it feels snug then go a 1/4 of a turn.

Hi hay783...
Sounds like you may have a virus/trojan/worm/etc...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To remove a virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download, install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans, worms, etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!

My powermatic table saw is very hard to raise and lower the blade and i have removed the knob that tightens the handle so the blade does not move and its still very difficult to move the blade

You need to do some maintenance on your saw. First unplug it. Then blow out the sawdust from inside the saw, especially around the trunnion ways and gears and worm gears that engage them to raise/lower and tilt the saw. Use a good quality lubricant to lube these worm gears and the shafts and pivot points. I use motor oil, have for years, and find it does a better job and lasts longer than any kind of grease or silicone. Use an oil can with a long spout so you can direct the oil where needed, then move the saw up/down or right/left to work the oil into the worm gear and mechanism. In a pinch WD40 is fine, though it won't last as long. Periodic re oiling will maintain the mechanism in peak condition, and the drops of oil you spill in the process won't do any damage to your so. No, it won't get gummed up with sawdust. Try it, you'll like it.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

How can i remove virus worm/autoit permanently

its simple guys..!!!
if it asks for permission to access outlook..don't permit it because it is a smart virus and is going to spread it to all the people on your contact list...!!!
simply open task manager and end process tree of KHATRA.exe , gHost.exe , xplorer.exe and OUTLOOK.exe seperately...!!
then run your anti virus or download one if you don't have one..!!!
run a complete computer scan in detail..!!
then delete all files which are infected by the virus because the results contain only duplicate files which are created by the virus
