The batteries are to low for the auto charger to work so either replace batteries or have them load tested to see if they are any good. Personally I would replace them.

SOURCE: shop rider sovereign voltage indication. Brand new fully charged

hi Richard,

Does the scooter actually lose power after the 3 leds show ?

If it is losing power then a suggest to try some other batteries to confirm dodgy batteries, check the terminal connections etc.

If it does not lose power then the volt meter is at fault, if you can check the voltage before riding then after it shows only 3 leds , if there is a big drop, check the charger first to make sure the batteries are getting fully charged.

GeWiz.,

SOURCE: batteries won't charge

Hi. Sounds like there is a faulty connection somewhere between the charger and the batteries. Are the batteries connected correctly. The charger uses the voltage level in the batteries to regulate itself. If there is a faulty connection, then the charge will not operate. Use a multi-meter to check if the batteries are connected correctly. There should be 24 to 26 volts across both batteries.
This fault can also be caused by a faulty charger socket. Check for any signs of melting or heat damage. There might also be a disconnected wire in the plug on the charger itself.Good luck. Neil.

SOURCE: new charger for 36 volt

HI.It should be connected in that way.The + sign of the charger connected to the +sign of the batt then connect the - batt next then finally connect the -sign of the batt and finalle the+ sign of the last batt must be connected to the -sign of the charger. This connection allows the voltage to flow within the 3 batteries.Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

SOURCE: Cannot charge the 12 volt battery more than 10 volts. Is there a service manual available

What type of battery is it, sounds like you have one shorted cell. Each battery is made up of 6 cells, around 2 volts a piece. Sorry, you probably need a new battery.

My lg tracfone ran completly down and won't turn on at all. Battery is less than 7 mo old

The problem will either be a new battery or its charging port. Inasmuch as the phone is only 7 months old, try calling your local carrier store (where you bought it) and see if its under warranty.

If you choose not to, try testing the battery in another phone if you can. If it works, the charger may be the issue. If the phone can be charged from a USB cord, and you have a 12 volt that can be plugged into your car's 12 volt power outlet, try this and see if it recharges (keep it plugged in during a trip to the store. Should recharge in an hour or less). If not, then the battery may need to be replaced.

Should the 3-volt battery be changed even if it tests OK?

Yes, change them every year to 18 months.

NOTE: It is recommended that the CR2 3-volt lithium battery be replaced at least once every 12 months.

Charged battery turned key nothing happens just slight clicking sound any advise to what may be wrong

How old are the batteries ? Have you had them load tested?

First thing to check is batteries for Volts. if less then 12 volts each then either the charger is no good or the batteries have had there day.

Check batteries on scooter with the charger on and you should get around 26 volts which would say your charger is ok.

I just bought new batteries for my Pride Ultra Go Go, but can't get them to start charging when I plug the charger directly into the outlet. Help please.

1.Make sure you installed them correctly.
2.Check the voltage on the batteries. If either (or both) register less than 11 volts, either return them for ones that have 12 volts, or attempt to bring them up to 12 volts with an automobile battery charger. Once brought up to 12 volts, install them, then make sure you recharge them with the supplied charger/adapter before or when the on-board indicator it shows low (red). If the battery voltage drops too low, the supplied charger simply won't even try to charge them.

We have a 11 month old elite traveler scooter. The battery will not take a charge. We have had no previous problems. Any suggestions?

I just fixed this problem in a Go Go Elite that was less than 6 months old. We would plug in the charger and the "charge" light would not turn on, just the "power light" I took out the battery pack (check manual for instructions), removed the cover (8 philips head screws) and checked the voltage on the two batteries. One read 4.5 volts and the other 4.7 volts. They should both read at least 11 volts, ideally 12 volts. Evidently the Pride charger will not work if it detects that the batteries are too low. So I took out one battery at a time and connected a 12 volt auto trickle charger to it for 3 hours on each battery. Checked voltages and it brought them back up to 11.5 volts. I reinstalled the battery pack and then connected the Pride charger and THEN it showed a "Charge" light. I left the pride charger on for 12 hours and it brought it up to full charge.
Advice: Don't let your batteries get too low or the factory charger will not work.

Have a 1996 Taurus wagon--dead battery--got brand new battery and connected it properly and car barely turns over and wont turn enough to start--car was sitting for about three months

Was the battery checked before it was sold to you? Batteries will lose their charge over a period of time even when not hooked up. If you have a voltmeter it should read 12.8 volts on a fully charged battery.
Have you tried to boost the car with cables?
I suspect if the car was working OK 3 months ago it should start. Which leads me to suggest an undercharged battery.
