Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

The group of 5 lights on the front of the washer continually flash and beep. A repairman told me I need a new control panel. If I get one, am I likely to have many future repair costs?

I have found that usually another part has caused the control board to fail. If this is the case this part will require replacement as well. It is hard to say if you are going to have future repair bills, factors that control this is, age, amount of use & water pressure.

I have a Frigidaire front loaded dryer that is just a few years old. It continually beeps and the lights on the front panel flash and after few minutes it shuts off. How do I fix this problem?

I had encountered issues like your concern regarding the problem Frigidaire dryer. Most of them had contacted the Frigidaire repairman to check and put in a new control board and it works like brand new. Though it costs $100 for the service but this amount will be refunded if you contact the Electrolux and ask for a code to give unto the repairman to cover the cost of the board.

You may contact also:

Chris Polk
Escalation Specialist
Electrolux Major Appliances
chris.polk@electrolux.com

So you may be guided, just send your contact information, and the best time to contact you. He would also need your model and serial number and a file number if available.

I hope it helps ^_^

Lg front loading washer flasing LE and stops midcycle

In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

F h display with beeping

I have a similar problem. It stops and beeps. It seems that the connections to the control unit are really cheap. Every time this happens which is evry time the machine is used, I take the top lid off and jiggle the black plugs into the control unit and it starts. The repair guy told me to replace the control unit, whcich I will have to do before my wife stops doing laundry. This is a 3 yeard old machine.

Beeping

the beeping usually is there to tell you something.
It is possible there is not hot water being supplied when you have hot or warm selected
Maybe the water is filling to slow
maybe the filter i clogged
maybe the barrel is out of alignment ( cased but imbalance from previous wash )
is it a top or front loader.
what lights flash when the beeping occurs?

Control Panel Comes On By Itself

Mine does this if there is the tiniest power interruption. Even if the lights only barely flash and nothing else happens in the whole house, the washer lights up. I just cancel mine out. It is not going to start running, and I don;t think there is a solution to this annoying little glitch.

Find the button on your panel with a 'key' symbol. Press & hold this down till the lock light goes off. Or

Hold down the 'options' & 'select' buttons together till the lock light goes off. Or
Press and hold down "end of cycle"
Pl. rate & tell me what did it - it is important.

If you have had a lightning storm or power surge it may have fried the electronics panel. That is what happened to mine. Once it is fixed you should put a surge suppressor on it that is rated for major appliances.
