SOURCE: Quasar VV-2001 TV/VCR combo - msg: Check Antenna Cable Connection

Check first the antenna using another TV. If there is no other TV available, check using an ohmeter. If you are 100% sure tha the antenna is ok then the antenna connector on your Tv is not making a good connection to the antenna plug.

SOURCE: check camera connection

This happens on my phone also. Its pretty annoying, turning it off and on doesn't work for me. Here's a fix that works for me:

Do a master reset by entering the following key combination from the home main screen: *2767*3855#

**Caution** Back up any files you want to keep, and copy your contacts to your sim card as this will completely reset your phone.

Your camera should work once again.

My audio radio does not receive radio stations. what could be the problem. All electrical components work just fine. cassette,CD player works fine but there is no band that will come in on the radio.

Is it a digital tuning? If it is does it auto search but just not find any stations? If this is the case then as J.D.Browning suggested it is an aerial problem! You said there are 2 aerials.....how are they connected to the radio?

Problems in CB Radio Receive and Modulation

Much of the time complaints about CB receive (RX) and modulation are caused by problems in the antenna system. Make sure there are no shorted or open connections in the coaxial cable or PL-259 (screw-on connectors for coaxial cable, located at the antenna and rear of CB radio) connectors. Use your radio's meter or better still, a Power/SWR meter to check the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) of the antenna. Try to get that as close as possible to a 1:1 ratio on the meter. A shorted or open antenna can keep the receive audio on your radio at very low levels. Plus, this will harm your transmitter if you continue keying the mike.

Another problem can surface in the radio itself. This will be noticed if you can transmit, but have no "modulation". Modulation can be described as the voice heard above the "carrier" (your transmitted signal). Every CBer knows about the term, modulation. The Truckers will definitely inform you about your modulation quality...lol. This problem can be caused by a defective AMC (Automatic Modulation Control) stage in the receiver circuit. Also, there will be no modulation upon transmit.

One other thing could be causing this lack of receive audio. Defective wiring or switching in the microphone can result in no audio. Additionally, in many radios, a missing mike will not allow receive, because the microphone connection completes the RX (Receive) circuit.

Solutions:
1. Check the antenna system, and fix any problems.
2. Check mike, or substitute another one.
3. Using meter, and/or another radio for listening on same channel, check power and receive.
4. You can probably fix 1, 2 and 3 yourself, or with the aid of a friend.
5. AMC problem in radio (as described above) will require professional service from a CB (Citizens Band) repair facility.

The above suggestions and advice will assist in repairing the majority of the symptoms described.

I have a 2012 raptor toy hauler with a sony multi disc player [MEX-DV2200] and the radio has quit working. It turns on but won't receive any stations. Everything else works fine. Any ideas?

Have you been able to check your connections from the unit to the antenna? If it was working before and then just quit I would start there first, a loose connection or frayed coaxial cable could be your problem, also if the antenna has moved it could be improperly grounded now and unable to receive also, you'll need to check the mounting of the antenna to make sure that it has come lose or built up corrsion. Roughly 80-90% of all radio problems/solutions are antenna/cable/connections based and rarely the radio itself.

Hi Sarah,

The problem will lie with one or combination of the radio, the antenna or antenna cable. Check the antenna. If it is the type that can be unscrewed from the body of the car, do so. Check and clean any mating surfaces. Dirt & oxidation are enemies of electrical connections. Check the antenna cable everywhere it is exposed. Look for cuts in the jacket which can allow water in and causes oxidation. Check the connection at the radio, too. Make sure it is free of dirt and oxidation too. Clean the connectors and reconnect. Be sure that the plug connections are fully seated in the jacks. If you find a damaged cable or connector, it should be replaced. many times, replacing the cable will be very difficult - you might want to try installing a new antenna and cable instead of trying to reuse the old antenna. These are often available for sale in the automotive sections of department stores, and in automobile specialty stores. Try connecting everything together to make sure it works before punching holes in the body of the car.

The issue may be the radio itself. Try connecting a different radio - either an identical factory radio that is known to be good - or an aftermarket radio to is also known to be good. All of these issues can be a logical point of failure - especially if you purchased the car used. There's no telling how the car's radio and antenna might have been used or abused before you took ownership of the car.

Good luck!

The ptt switch or circuit is not disconnecting the audio circuit. Open the unit up and check the wiring, interconnect plugs for something shorted not canceling the receiver audio.
