Re: belt

There are a total of 6 screws - one is hidden under the right front wheel. pull the wheel assembly against its spring - it's under there.

Re: belt

Turn vac over, take out 4 to 5 screws and the top cover will come off. The belt is a cogged belt #72393 and goes between the brush roll motor and the brush roll.

I have the eureka boss 4495 widetrack and the end piece of the beater bar broke off. I guess I put it back together wrong when I put a new belt on. Where can I get a replacement part and will it work do...

Call the Eureka people (1-800-282-2886) and describe to them what the beater bar thingy that you broke is. Ask them if you can order that unit--if you think you can install it. Otherwise, ask them where to the authorized repair person closest to you is located. Price the repair versus a new vacuum and good luck.

What filters do i need for the eureka the boss bagless vacuum w/widetrack modal 4495

There is a Cassette Micron Filter 60696.If you have a HEPA cartridge filter you need EUREKA's HEPA part 61500.In earlier models there is a micron filter instead of a HEPA filter--for that you need EUREKA's Micron part 60801. But if you have that HEPA filter, the manual says you have to use the HEPA filter to achieve the closed HEPA filtration system again.

Eureka Boss - Belt is not broke but brush will not turn. I have already turned it over - checked belt - and pushed the reset button.

The belt may look fine but they can still be stretched or worn and it won' turn the brush. Try changing the belt and see what it does. You can get Eureka belts here:

Eureka Bagless Widetrack, The Boss, Vacume, model 5893

Had exactly the same problem with my upright Eureka Model 5893 bagless. Eventually, the handle would get hot, and finally it just quit. When handle was disassembled, the wires were melted and it was toast. Ordered a switch after talking to several repair men. Talked to Eureka, too, and they were absolutely no help. Cheap wiring and switch made in China. Good luck trying to find a switch. has switches, so you might try there, but make sure you get the 3-prong switch (same switch used on Eureka's Genesis. It is Part #27871.

Belt broke

The belt number is 60957, There should be some screws that you remove from the bottom and the whole bottom nozzle will come apart, then you can change the belt.
