Removing the Drum from an LG WM1832CW Front Load Washer

Well, I assume you have removed the bolt that holds the motor to the tub shaft. After you remove all the motor system then you would only have the tub's hub shaft out of the back of the outer tub thru the bearings and bearing seal. It should easily slide out. If not, I would support the outer tub half on two saw horses or equivalent and hit shaft as hard as you can with a rubber mallet. Remember to have a system to catch the inner tub when it falls out.

Machine makes banging sounds and the spin barrel rubs on the rubber seal

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

Please check the play of the bearings and also the main door seal gasket.

Hi.

Dear i advise you to-replace only Drum unit.
cuz i facing this problem so many time if isn't possible for you to change complete drum unit then change only drum. but if you want to check this problem just once time replace complete drum unit with drum don't fix previous drum.
and please don't wast ur time on heating unit :)

Receiving a TE error code which leaves the washer unable to operate

TE is a thermister error. (temperture sensor) Located at the water heater element.

Supposedly can't be serviced by untrained individuals (thus the directions to call for service) but the thermistor can be found easily by tilting the machine on its back. It is mounted to the back of the drum housing.

thermistor is a small, round, black rubber grommet with the metal sensor pushed through the center. It easily pops back into place.

I need the location of the thermistor on an LG WM2496HWM

spin the unit around so the back is facing you. tip it forward so the front of the unit faces the ground. i just lean it on the wall at a angle where it stays put. lay on the ground under the unit and look towards the front of unit right there on the bottom of the drum you will see the heater and thermistor. the heater has 2 hot wires and a ground going to it. the thermistor has a plastic locking plug with a blue and white wire. it just slides in and out of a rubber grommet. good luck

How do you remove rear drum

The parking break must be fully disengaged to remove the drum housing. If it still wont slide off then behind the drum at the bottom is a **** that should have a rubber insert. Remove the insert (flathead screwdriver works) and you can see a gear sprocket. with a flat head you can turn it up or down....one direction will tighten the break and the other will loosen. Loosen both sides all the way and the drum housing should come off easily

Dirt marks on clothes from dirty rubber door gasket

Unfortunately you need to remove the front panel and change both drum slides to re-align drum again and keep it from damaging your clothes.

LG front loader te code

A "tE" error code is more than likely the "thermistor" as CoolTech stated but fortunately it is not that difficult to service and doesn't require a technician (warranty expired for me, consider this for your own situation). It supposedly can't be serviced by untrained individuals (thus the directions to call for service) but the thermistor can be found easily by tilting the machine on its back. It is mounted to the back of the drum housing. I removed mine after getting a "tE" error...cleaned and replaced...no problems since! No screws needed to be removed. My thermistor is a small, round, black rubber grommet with the metal sensor pushed through the center. I removed the entire grommet. It easily pops back into place. The face of the grommet and sensor appeared to have buildup from hard water which easily came off without the use of cleaners.
