REALLY!!! didn't like that answer??,then call the number!! there is no information online about how many amps it uses, I searched for 20 minutes,ALSO!!! this is fixya,do you need to fix something??? your answer is no,you want info about an item, fixya is not here to cater to questions like that,we do not get paid, questions like how many dc amps should be sent to the manufacturer, which i gave you the number to.look on the back of the unit.REALLY!!

Explain the difference between static electricity and current electricity

Static electricity...

Generally considered a nuisance... can cause serious damage to electronic equipment... (it is STORED power)

Thunder & lightening are STATIC electricity...

Wiki definition included (below)

For commercially available ELECTRICITY...
(usa) "currents" ... All electricity functions because of a DIFFERENCE in potential. When you start adding wires then you are harnessing that potential DIFFERENCE into usable energy.

Direct current & Alternating current... Generally referred to as "AC" & "DC"

Most all of the power grid you are looking at on power poles around your community... have "AC" flowing on the power wires
good for powering residential housing and commercial power applications

Immediately below those wires ... The phone wires
have to run about 10 feet below the "AC" wires...
Phone systems run on "DC" because it is quiet
(communications systems).

Alternating CURRENT can be rectified into Direct...
and Direct CURRENT can be inverted into Alternating.

Generators,
solar panels & BATTERIES output DC
Which can be accumulated and stored.

Alternators
output AC... and because AC is less susceptible to magnetic interference... it can travel great distances with very little loss.

Very interesting topic for further research ... and the principals of both... as argued by no less than Nicola Tesla & Thomas Edison.

Hope this helps

Amp turns on but puts out no sound except for faint noise which dies out after a few seconds.

It sounds like a defective/incorrect AC-to-DC adapter may have caused your problem. These adapter come with different output voltages, AC or DC output and different amperage ratings. AC-to-DC adapters list the polarity of the DC voltage as it relates to the DC power plug and you must match both the devices voltage and power requirements. As for the amp...not working on batteries either, I would suspect output transistors or IC.

We have a new ac in out camper and it is not cooling maybe we just doing something wrong with the thermostat?

check breakers and dc fuses requires both a.c and dc to run & it needs to be a full 12 volts dc.

It does not seem to be charging the batteries. 12 volt lights work good for about 2 days then go dim until I put a charger on the batteries and bring them back into working order. The battery connect...

The Parallax 7155 converter should not require battery support for any 12 volt load amperage that is less than the maximum amperage capacity of the converter. A standard RV incandescent 12 volt lamp draws about 1.5 amperes for each bulb. With the battery disconnected and other 12 volt loads off, turn on lamps (not fixtures) and calculate the number of bulbs which can be turned on. If you run out of lamps, turn on vent fans etc. The idea here is to try to get to 55 amperes of DC load if possible without going over 55 amperes. At a sustained DC load of about 25-30 amperes or higher, the fans should cycle on continuously after about 5 -10 minutes. Lamp brightness should be normal and the measured voltage from the converter should be above 13 volts if under 55 amps of DC load. If the voltage drops with only a few lamps on, a converter issue would be likely.

Diagnostic tests an RV technician should make would be to:
1. Disconnect the battery system.
2. With the converter system powered on, measure the DC amperage with a DC ammeter capable of reading at least 60 amperes DC from the blue lead at the DC fuse panel terminal VCC.
3. Measure the DC voltage at terminal VCC and DC ground.
4. Record both readings.
At any DC load amperage less than 55 amps, the voltage should be above 13.0-13.2 volts DC. This method should take out all guesswork and confirm a DC converter section issue or not.

My AC225c welder will start a 7018(new) rod at the proper setting but then quit. Acts like setting is too low but no matter how I run up the setting nothing changes. All 6011,6014 rods weld perfect. Do I...

JAMES B,

FIRST OF ALL THE 7018 WELDING ROD IS REALLY A DC REVERSE POLARITY ROD. IN THE PAST 7-10 YEARS AGO 7018 AC/DC RODS HIT THE MARKET. THEY WELD LIKE ****! YOU DID'NT SAY WHAT DIAMETER YOUR USING,BUT THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN USE THESE RODS IS TO HAVE A BIGGER MACHINE. THE AC225 JUST DOES'NT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO WELD IN THE AC MODE. WELDING WITH THIS ROD IN DC REV. IS ABOUT 150 AMPS FOR 1/8 DIA.AND ABOUT 110-120 AMPS FOR3/32 DIA. THIS ALSO DEPENDS ON THE BRAND OF MACHINE YOU HAVE. THE 6011-6014 RODS ARE MADE AC -DC,AND YES THEY RUN VERY NICE ON AC. HOPE THIS HELPS EWE OUT,I WAS A WELDER/FAB FOR 35 YEARS AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE! GOD BLESS AND GOD BYE.

Dell inspiron 1420 not recognizing ac adapter

One possibility is that the power cord attaching the power adapter to the DC jack in the laptop might be broken or damaged. Inspect it visually to verify this possibility.
Also, try measuring the DC output from the power adapter's outlet to make sure it is providing the correct output voltage needed to run the laptop (if at all).
Another possibility is that the DC jack where the power adapter connects to the laptop might be either loose or damaged, & needs to be either re-soldered or replaced. However, in order to do this, you will need to disassemble the laptop & get the motherboard out.
If this did not work, there might be a possibility that the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether.

DC Motor Amp Draw?

Its a completely different principle for AC/DC. Its similar as the more amps the more current but with AC you will have more volts and less amps whereas DC you will tend to have more amps and less voltage. Think of it like this a 12v DC car battery puts out 500-1000 amps and a typical house on AC will have a 200 amp panel with the average circuit being only 15-20amps... So dont mistake the two as DC motors are more for variable speed operation and AC tends to be more of a set speed with minimal variation. Hope this helps

Install hp4600 dc controller

This is not exactly an easy task. But here are the step by steps
The following procedures explain the removal and replacement of internal components DC controller shield 1 Remove the following assemblies: ● Print cartridges and ETB.(ETB Is the black belt) ● Rear cover. ● Top cover. ● Rear top cover. ● Left cover. 2 Remove nine screws (callout 1). A tenth screw might be located on the rear of the printer at the bottom of the DC controller shield (callout 2). If that tenth screw is present, remove it. 3 Remove the DC controller shield. c0a7a70.jpg
Behind this shield is the DC controller board; It has quite a few wires connected to it, as it's the main controller for the printer.
1089df3.jpg Be sure to reconnect every wire or the printer will not work.
The correct Part Number for the LJ4600 (only) for the Dc controller is RG5-6391.
Good luck :)
