Question about Pioneer VSX-523-K 5.1 Channel AV Receiver Featuring Made for iPhone Co

Open Question

My Pioneer AV Tuner Model No. VSX-523-K, will pause briefly during a playback of a CD or DVD from a component player. Pause is random and not at same point each time.

Have checked CD/ DVD's which are not damaged. Component players were moved across from an older AV Receiver, and prior to this worked without problem. All components are hooked up via HDMI cables

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Video issues w/ Pioneer VSX-816 AV Receiver

Receivers generally cannot or will not convert from one input type to a different output. That's not to say there may not be some high end models around that do that.

I have this receiver and have it setup as follows. Monitor out Component, S-Video, and the Composite video channel (since I have surround sound I have no interest in getting audio to the TV since I keep its speakers off anyways) to their different inputs on the TV. Warning on some TV's if you plug in S-Video you cannot then use composite on that same input channel as it will override and disable the composite. Then you only need to choose the appropriate input on the TV when you switch sources. In my case Tivo is S-Video, DVD is component, and most of my older video games and VCR are composite.

Having a TV that allows you to change the labels for the input channels is helpful with teaching others that may be less adept, or a snazzy remote that you can program to do everything at once.

SOURCE: pioneer audio video receiver VSX-D710S but there is sound to the speaker, but no audio coming from the player

Try to check the audio setting of the player. If you user using optical or coaxial then the audio out put format setting should be Raw other wise it should be PCM. You will see the setting if you go through the menu of the player

Dear Sirs, I have a Pioneer AV Receiver model VSX-817 and is connected to Monitor Audio Speakers (Fronts: BR5, Center: BR-LCR, Rears: BR1), Sub: MS309 (Mordaunt Short). I have connected each front...

Did you remember to remove the shorting link on the MA BR5 speaker terminal ..When you biwire the speakers you should remember to loosen the speaker terminal nuts and remove the shorting link plate between the HF and the LF terminals or you will short the amplifiers two channels together through the link. And modern amplifiers will take a lot of abuse at low volumes but at high volumes the protection circuit will turn off the device.

Ok, how much is "a bit"? If you are operating your unit at the 50% or more level, your unit is working as it should, as DVD and CD players output more signal than other sources...accordianman
