Most likely a loose wire, or a bad earth, check all earth wires including engine to chassis strap, car must have large earth to battery from chassis and engine, and/or an engine to chassis strap sometimes a relay needs replacing, does it happen the same on low as high beam? if it's ok on low then it's likely the relay probably near the fuses, if it's the same on low, then check the switch and plugs under dash and at light bulbs, light plugs often get corrosion as do the globe tags.

Dipped headlights are intermittent

Look for the RELAYS for the lights. They are usually on the fuse box. Replace the headlight relay.

Motorcycle headlight working intermittently. Starter working intermittently.

Sounds like bad wiring. Best bet is to get a repair manual for the bike. Check the wiring at the ignition, the kill switch and inside the headlight bucket. Sounds like either loose or broken wire.

2003 jaguar xj8 stuck in park intermittently headlights won't work either

Dont think they will be related but when you press the brake pedal with the ignition on can you here a solenoid click under the gear shift? These are common to fail and often don't release the shifter.

2000 buick regal headlights are turning off intermittently. Headlights come on but turn off when driving then click back on after different periods of time. No headlights or highbeams. I do have...

When the headlights go out, check for power to the low beams on the orange (RightT) and orange/black (left). If you're getting power, then the problem is on the switching/ground side of the circuit.

The body control module uses the ambient light sensor as an input and the headlight switch. If the light sensor see dark, the BCM provides ground to the control coil in the headlight relay. When the control coil is energized, it closes contacts that provide the ground path to the headlights. Since this is intermittent, I suggest tapping on the headlight relay with a screwdriver handle when the lights go out. It's located behind the glove box. Or, try swapping the relay with a different one and see if that solves the problem

2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R headlight intermittent

Hi, Paul_preece if your headlight is not working, intermittent, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, dim or surges from bright to dim to bright the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chafed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/low beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty headlight relay.
9. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
10. Weak charging alternator/generator/lighting coil
11. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

Lights, turn signals, horn don't work

Look for a bad ground connection inside the headlight shell (or possibly elsewhere). The other thing that all of the items you mention that are working intermittently have in common is the ignition switch. With the switch 'on', check for battery voltage at the fuses for the headlight, turn signals, horn, etc. No voltage at the fuses likely means a bad ignition switch.
