Will D4c se plug into D4c

The Rainbow D4, D4C and SE all are the same vacuum base, only changes were made to the nozzle. As long as the nozzle cord on your D4 has 2 prongs, not 3 prongs you can use the D4 nozzle that looks like This or the SE PE (SE Performance) Nozzle that looks This

P5vd2 vm se with led no power

A) Could be a faulty Power On switch.

http://www.directron.com/atxswitch.html

Find the two pins on the motherboard, that the two wires from the Power On switch go to. Unplug those wires. Take a SMALL flat tipped screwdriver, and touch across those two pins.

Power Supply comes on? You have a bad Power On switch.
Is -> Not, the most conclusive test, but an easy one to perform off the bat.

There is a more conclusive test. If using this method the Power Supply does not come on, you have a bad Power Supply. If the Power Supply does come on, you have a bad Power On switch,

http://www.fixya.com/support/t13903733-bypass_soft_power_switch_friont_computer

[The Soft Power On circuit uses 5 Volts DC. In comparison two D cell flashlight batteries store 3 Volts DC. Just in case you are worried about shock ]

NOTE*
A Power Supply with a weak voltage power rail, will Not have enough power to turn the Processor on;

1) If ALL of the LED's were lit up, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.

2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

3) A typical Processor can use 51 to 125 Watts of power.
Just depends on what Processor it is.

You either have a bad Power On switch, or a Power Supply that doesn't have enough power to blo-w it's nose.

You can test the three main voltages.
A) 3.3 Volts
B) 5 Volts
C) 12 Volts

Just use an economical multimeter set to DC Voltage.
You can purchase an economical multimeter for around $5 to $12.
Available in a multitude of stores. An auto parts store is but one example.

Need guidance post the multimeter's manufacturer name, and model number.

Microwave keypad does not respond and screen reads SE

"SE" error means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

The exact part you need will depend on the model number, which will be one of these:

SMH9151B SMH9151B/XAA SMH9151B/XAC SMH9151BE SMH9151BE/XAA SMH9151S SMH9151S/XAA SMH9151ST SMH9151ST/XAA SMH9151ST/XAC SMH9151STE SMH9151STE/XAA SMH9151W SMH9151W/XAA SMH9151W/XAC SMH9151WE SMH9151WE/XAA.

On some models, you can just order a new membrane keypad and replace it. It's cheap, but a lot of work.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved. It's here.

On other models,
the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job, but it costs more.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help and a free estimate for us to do it for you.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

I Need a power suply

These units don't have a separate "power suppy" per se. There is a power transformer and a separate board that contains the standby power supply components. The main power supply components are on the main board.

Rather than looking for a "power supply", what is the problem with the unit? Is there a standby light?

Flashing RED Light

Our AKAI also shut off & the red light started to blink...got no help from AKAI, but did from COSTCO. We bought the set before the 90 day warranty they have in place now, so they referred us to COSTCO Concierge Services: 1-866-861-0450. We were referred to a repair service & after discovering what the problem was found out that AKAI not longer has parts for this model. COSTCO replaced our TV---talk about satisfaction guaranteed.
