Good seal between the cups ensures that the vacuum cleaner has full suction. Check that there is no dirt or damage on the lip of the filter cup causing it to be jam up and be hard to assemble.,

Why aren't the propellars in the dirt cup of My Hoover vacuum not spinning

First of all there are no propellers in any dirt cup of a vacuum cleaner. Some of them use a cyclonic action to keep the dirt in a ball shape for easy empty purposes. As the cup fills, it’s less likely to spin. Regardless, the spinning action has little to do with suction power. Clean the squirrel cage fins and filter would help.

How to open to clean

Hello! The dirt cup, filter and brushes need to be cleaned to ensure continued cleaning effectiveness. Below are steps for cleaning your Hoover Slider.

Turn switch to OFF position.

1. Press button and slide latch towards outside of cleaner. Rotate dirt cup toward back of cleaner.

2. While holding dirt cup, grasp filter frame and lift out filter. Empty dirt cup after every use. Dirt cup can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Allow to dry thoroughly.

3. Pull middle section of filter out of filter frame. To remove debris from filter, tap it on a hard surface or brush it with a soft brush.

4. Remove lint, strings, etc. from the brush roll located on the underneath side of the nozzle.

5. Replace the brush roll when the brushes do not touch the edge of a card as it is moved across the opening on the bottom of the nozzle.
Further disassembly of the cleaner is not recommended. Hope this helps!

How do i clean canister of dirt devil featherlight bagless caniter vacuum

Hi there! To clean the canister or dirt cup, first remove the dirt cup from the vacuum. Twist off the dirt cup lid. Remove the pleated filter and empty the dirt cup. Tap the filter against the trash can until the dirt stops falling. If the filter is really dirty it may need to be replaced. The filter should be replaced every 6 months. I have included a link where you may go to purchase a replacement filter if needed.

Thanks! Hope this helps!

I can not get the dirt cup out to empty it.

Just slide the dark gray release tab, located just below the cup, all the way to open position, and then pull the Easy Empty Cup toward you.

How do you empty it?

There is a black clip at the top of the dirt cup which holds the dirt cup in place on this vacuum. Pull back on this clip with one hand and with the other you will be able to remove the entire dirt cup assembly. Once the dirt cup assembly is off remove the lid, and take the bottom portion to the trash can and dump. Tap the side of the cup slightly to remove excess dirt. Romove the dirt cup filter inside and do the same. Replace the fiter and the lid and put it back on to the machine. You should replace the dirt cup filter every 6 months to a year. Part is below:

Replace Filter
As you vacuum, dirt and debris are deposited in the Dirt Cup
while air passes through the filter before being returned to
the room. This process enhances the vacuum path while
dramatically reducing dust, dirt, and potential allergens from
the air you breathe. Replacing the filter periodically enhances
vacuum power and air quality. To replace the filter:
1. Remove the Dirt Cup.
2. Grasp the filter frame and pull it straight from the Cup.
Empty the Cup.
3. Replace the filter. Push new filter into place at the top of the
Cup, place the small tab at the bottom of the Cup into the
slot at the bottom of the Canister cavity, then press the upper
portion of the Cup into place until the lock button snaps
into place. Use only BISSELL Style 6, #32047 Filters
[package of 2] in your BISSELL EASY VAC™ Model 3101-0.
4. EASY VAC™PLUS Model #3102-0 features a high efficiency
3M Filtrete™ Filter. To keep your cleaner operating at peak
efficiency and to remove irritating allergens from your
home, you should change the FILTRETE™ filter every six
months. Use only BISSELL Style 6, #32046 Filters [package
of 2]. The cup-shaped filter lifts out from the top of the
Dirt Cup, and the new one fits into place.

I am assuming that you're looking for the handle at the front of the dirt cup... Part # 28131-288N, it has been replaced by part # 74985 Dirt cup grip assembly. If you call Eureka Customer Support at 1-800-282-2886 they will be able to find you a local dealer.

I have acquired an old Regina Electrik Broom

Hi jmathe, Looking at the back (business side) of the vacumn: Underneath the white plastic dirt cup, please find a cast aluminum latch, that secures the part you will empty. To remove the white plastic part, turn the aluminum latch handle downward, and to your right, while you are holding on to the dirt cup with your left hand. I usually wear a dust mask, and empty the dirt into a small grocery bag, to tie shut, before placing it in the trash. To replace the dirt cup, turn the cast aluminum handle back to where it was before, handle pointing left. The more often you empty the cup, the longer your Regina Electrik Broom will last. Mine is forty-five years old. Allow the motor to cool, often, as well.
