Hi Robert Clark,

You may try reseating the hard drive by referring the below link which is a user manual for Dell Inspiron 1750:

http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/inspiron-1750_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

However, if this doesn't help then please explain the issue with the hard drive then I can check and see what can be done.

Thanks and Regards.
Kiran Kumar.

Setting up my computer and moniter says, drive 0 not found:serial ata,sata-0 hit f1 to continue, when I do nothing happens.

Is the computer new? If so, return it. If not, Unplug from AC, reseat ALL HDD cables, reboot, If that fails remove the HDD , test, replace if necessary. Have you tried a system restore/recovery, If the computer does not ID the HDD, it's doubtful you can.

Hard Disc cannot detect

unplug, remove battery, reseat HDD, try to boot normally. If that fails try to open BIOS Setup, using this procedure, http://www.ehow.com/how_5796473_bios-acer-laptop.html. Is your HDD listed? If not unplug, reseat HDD, reboot. If that fails, remove HDD, test, replace if necessary.

When i turn on the laptop it keeps saying primary hard drive 0 not found .... what should i do ?

Reseat the HDD, Reset the BIOS Defaults and see if the HDD is detected. If it isn't seen then the HDD has most likely failed

When i turn on my laptop it is telling me that there is no internal hard disk drive not found. To resolve this issue try to reseat the drive. Then it tells me there are no bootable devices--strike F1 to...

This seems the Hdd is Not getting Detected , First thing you can try is inserting the hdd back in the system and then get into Setup Utility by Pressing F2 and check whether the hdd is listed or not , If the HDD is not listed that means HDD has gone bad .you need to get a new HDD

Will not boot up

From what you describe, you may have a HDD failure. The Inspiron 8000 has a serial bus for the IDE drives and if one drive fails neither will work (If HDD Fails, the CD drive will not read)
Reseat both the HDD and Optical drive and make sure they are detected in BIOS. If HDD is not detected, replace it.

No HDD Found

First boot to the system setup and see if the Hard Disk Drive is detected in the BIOS. If it is not detected, then the HDD has most likely failed and will need replacement.

If not detected in the bios, open the chassis and reseat the Data and power cables to the HDD

Primary Hard Disk Drive Not Found, Fixed Optical drive Not found

Reseat both the Hard Drive and Optical drive and see if they detect. If they do not, then a HDD failure is most likely. The I8000 is quirky in that if the HDD fails, the Optical drive will not work.

If reseating doesn't resolve, Replace the HDD and the optical drive should work. (Controller is a serial design and neither drive will function if the other fails)

Os not found

Operating system not found indicates that the system is not seeing a bootable device. Possible causes are:

1. Hard drive not detected due to loose connection. Reseat the HDD.
2. Hard Drive is failing/Failed. Replace HDD
3. System has a floppy drive and a diskette in the drive, remove diskette, reboot
4. Hard drive not in boot sequence. Reset BIOS to defaults
