Question about Samsung TV Remote Control
Posted by christi04 on Nov 09, 2007
I'd like to program my new Direct T.V. Remote to my new Samsung TV, to make the volume "SLIDE" up & down instead of manually pushing the "up button over & over & over.....to turn the volume up. How can I do this???
Still need a solution for this problem?
With DTV remotes, there is no way to program it to "slide up" interface within the tv controls how the volume will increase, however, Samsung is a very friendly brand with directv all you need to do is slide the mode switch at the top of your remote to tv (all the way to the right), next you will hold down the mute and select (small button beneath the volume key) and the select (big orange-yellow button in the center of the remote) down together, it may take 5-10 seconds but you will see the green light at the top of the remote flash twice rapidly (light should blink when initially pressing buttons, this does not indicate a readiness for correct code), after that you will want to enter the codes for your brand, some models of reciever and remote can automatically scan if you use the in reciever menus.
