ELECTRIC Dryer no heat or little heat, or shuts down to fast:

Check your venting and lint basket. Check blower for lint build up and blower wheel obstruction., test by trying to turn the wheel manually by hand (should be easy) May have to remove cabinet or front/back plate to get to it)

Next check the heating element itself with a meter for continuity OHMS CLOSED CIRCUIT. If not its defective or has a short if its grounding out? Which in turns causes blown fuses or thermostats or overheating.

Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. 220 because if u only get half or 110 volts you will be able to run the machine which uses only 110 to run motor but not the heater which uses a full 220,

Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

I used the self clean feature & now oven does not heat

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
From my understanding your used the self-clean feature on your Electrolux oven and now it is not heating. This could be an issue with your control panel or thermostat. You may need to perform a reset on your range and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes. If that does not help to alleviate your current issue with the range I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional technician for repairs. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

The tab that you push to dispense water snapped and is just hanging there. Can I fix this myself?

Good Afternoon Cecilia Soares, thank you for your inquiry!
From the information you have provided the dispenser tab on your Electrolux refrigerator has snapped and you would like to repair it. I am unsure if it is repairable you may need to order the replacement part for your refrigerator. Based off the model number, E23CS75DSS, I have located a parts manual this should help you locate which part may be needed. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Why Electrolux front load making knocking sounds during spin cycle. Model ewf1087

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux washer, model# EWF1087, is making knocking sounds during the spin cycle. In researching your model number, I show that your appliance was manufactured in Australia. If this were manufactured in the U.S., I would suggest making sure that the load was balanced. Balance your wash load and if you are still having trouble, I suggest contacting the manufacturer in Australia. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

When the dryer wont heat it is the thermal fuse that is bad, you can test it with a voltmeter before replacing. This fuse is located inside the rear panel and it cannot be reset.

Hope this will help...

G,day i have a electrolux dish washer model 302 that is not heating at all.where do i look for the heating element. Thanks

Hi Kanejake,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: you have a electrolux dish washer model 302 that is not heating at all.where do you look for the heating element?

First, check to see if the "air dry" button is on. It should not. The heating element is the blackish rail that runs around in the bottom of the d/w. I don't recomend this repair to homeowner. You might consider looking in the Repair Directory for a repairman. If the d/w has a few years on it you should compare the costs of repair verses replacement.
