Sounds like your notebook video card is bad. It drives both the LCD panel and external displays. You'll need to replace it.

Try downloading the photos to a computer. If this doesn't work there may be a problem with the flash chip. If so, try reformatting it - that worked for me when I had a couple of photo storage locations that constantly put up garbage displays and produced file error messages on downloading.

Boot device not detect

Your PC is trying to boot from your external hard/flash drive.

You have to change the boot order in the bios. While booting what the screen, you'll see a message "Select F2 for boot or DEL/F10 for setup"

Go for the setup option, this will take you into the bios. Read the instructions carefully, you need to change to boot order, choose CD for 1, HDD0 for 2 anything you like for third. Press F10 to save and exit. Your
PC should now boot properly.

Or, as its just a flash drive, don't plug it in until your PC has booted.

The screen goes very dark within a minute after booting up = I can just barely see the menu page

When you say screen goes very dark when it booted to windows so it means that when you turned on the laptop when the dell logo flashes the screen was fine? if thats the case could you please try this. after turning on the laptop you will see the dell logo flashes immediately keep tapping on F2 and then it will show you the BIOS setup utility, please check if in BIOS setup display goes dark as well. If yes then try this, after turning on the computer when dell logo flashes keep tapping on F12 to boot menu then select utility partition to run the diagnostics. Please run test on the LCD check if display goes black when running the LCD test. Then try this when you sees the dell logo keep tapping on F8 to boot in safe mode check if in safe mode display goes very dark. Try this too, boot in F8 then select last known good configuration check if the settings on your display will be fix. If you can boot to safe mode no problem then uninstall the display or video driver. then restart computer.
You can also try to connect an external monitor if you have one just try to isolate if issue is on the LCD or the video card. If the display is dark as well in external monitor then video card needs to be reseated if fails then replaced. In situation like this most video cards is integrated to the motherboards. So replace motherboard.

When I turn on my pc, it boots showing only garbage on the screen.

hi
After booting, the Operating system will only have Recylebin(garbage) as default icon. we need to put the other icons like my computer, my documents, mynetwork and others to desktop. you can do this by following steps.

Go to Run type "desk.cpl". Now you will get Display property window, there click on "Desktop " icon. After doing that you can see a "Customize desktop" button there. click on it. now you would able to see "My documents, My computer, my Network Places, Internet Explorer" beside all this icon will be able to see small square box. you need to click on the boxes. By clicking those boxes, you would get them on your desktop.
