Hi Collyod,

BIOS is a type of firmware which used during the boot process on Dell computers. BIOS can be accessed by tapping the F2 key at the startup.
Also let me know if there are any issues with the computer.

Thanks and Regards.

Where will the restart and power cable will be connected in motherboard i5 Intel

Download the Technical Manaul of Motherboard from following link.
https://downloadmirror.intel.com/18505/eng/DH55TC_ProductGuide01_English.pdf

On page 12 of the manual you will find the diagram of your board. The power connector is located at position "N". Hard reset feature is not provided in this board as it was available in old mother boards. However System Recovery can be performed using BIOS Jumper located at position "P" on the motherboard. Remember that BIOS Configuration Jumper is used to for System Recovery not for Reset.

Where is the bios chip on dell latitude e6400 mother board

For reseting BIOS, you should first try to remove CMOS battery. Put it back and BIOS reset is done. For location of CMOS battery, check laptop manual.

But first, you could try to perform factory reset on BIOS. You can access BIOS by pressing F2 during startup.

IBM x3550 Server

Hello,

You will need to remove the cover and locate the jumper that controls your BIOS setting. (Sometimes located near the back of the server board by the power supply. Check your owners manual for exact location.)

Move the jumper the BIOS reset, power on your server and follow the onscreen instructions. When complete, move the BIOS jumper back to regular position (1 and 2) and reboot.

Good Luck

Try resetting bios. This is done by a small jumper on most modern boards. location on your board. Try resetting bios. This is done by a small jumper on most modern boards. See image for the location on your model. Simply take the jumper (it is the plastic piece on two metal prongs. Move it so that it is on the middle and opposite prongs. to be sure of the reset start and after a 5 count turn off your pc. Move the jumper to its original position. Will not boot comes up wth a 9F Error on the mother board.

The F( error message at boot usually indicates that BIOS has detected an error that will not allow it to continue, If you can enter BIOS, try loading Bios Defaults, If you cannot enter BIOS, find the jumper or switch on your board which says CL CMOS, Move the jumpers to the CLR CMOS position for about 3 seconds and then replace it in its original position.
If this does not take care of your problem, I would suggest you one at a time remove each card/ periphial untill you can locate the offending item....I know.....Pain in the rear, but unless you have the diagnostic equipment to locate the problem for you, A neccisary step.
Hope this helps.

How do I Find, Identify & Replace Bios Battery on my C502US

hi,

The board on that laptop uses a traditional CR2032 battery. This battery you can find at almost any jewlers or electronics shop.
(ref)
You can see it in images such as this one or this one.

Now you knwo the battery type, and where in the board is located :)
As for how to access it I think this instructions (see step #13) are very similar for the C500 or given the physical similarities use the C300 instructions.

Hope this works,

I need a driver for my old elpina BA E-VO 9817

Ok on the board you should have a bio chip. If you can tell me if it is AMI or something else, and provide the bios string, I might be able to locate the manufacturer of the board and see if I can locate the drivers that you require.
