My GSD5560G03SS GE triton dishwasher has a short wash cycle. Fills, washes for 2 minutes and drains. Sometimes it pauses for 30 minutes after short wash and then drains and dries.

I have a newer model, it usually beeps with an error code when it drains prematurely, due to a leak detected or component problem. If it's under warranty, get it serviced quick, as they will not help you at all once it expires. I gave up and decided to buy another brand after not getting anywhere with them about their poor designed dishwasher that has given me nothing but problems and headaches, and today I discovered a part that was completely inside and encased in plastic that had moisture get into it and rust it right out - my dishwasher has been in use less than 3 years!

GE Dishwasher Quiet Power III Dishwasher leaking

The average life of dishwashers is 7-10 ten years so it might just be dying but try this. If the leak is a small one that seems to always be near the left side of the dishwasher put a cup of white vinager in the upper rack and run the unit on pots & pans or heavy duty. This is caused by a build up of detergent that make the unit oversuds, when the suds turn back into water it leaks out the left front corner. The amount of water is not huge, one towel to clean up. If the leak is larger it could be the pump is leaking and you can order a new one with your model # from marcone.com

I have a GE quiet power 3 dishwasher and water is in the bottom a the power will not work now what should I do?

This seems to be that the Anti Flood system has triggered. This device detects water leaks / spills to the bottom of the washer and automatically puts the washer in pump out mode and shuts off the water inlet. The device is made up of a pollystireene float and micro switch that activates once the float detects any leaks / spillage. Dry water and check for leaks and this should solve the problem

Dishwasher turns on without anyone pressing the start button. Wrench symbol is on the screen of both drawers. Thanks, Bill Hewitt

This is a message indicating that there may be a water leak in the unit casing. You can open the bottom drawer and left it off it's tracks and take a look with a flashlight to see if there is any water in the casing. I would put a paper towel and see if it is wet then you'll know because it may be a very small leak but enough for the unit to detect it and send this error message, the sound you are hearing is that the unit is trying to empty the water because it's detecting a water leak somewhere.
