The best way to fix it , is open up the particular browser and then play a song on youtube or facebook and then take the mouse and right click on audio icon and choose open volume mixer and check if the particular browser is muted apart from system sound and unmute it or increase the volume and you will have the sound back . this happens due to corrupt user profile, in Windows OS.

Hi Anonymous,

There is a possibility that this could be due to a browser issue. Please try using a different browser like Internet Explorer, Forefox, Chrome, etc and check if that makes a difference.

Thanks and Regards.

When on face book check to see if there is a sound switch turns the audio on and off. Utube has a mute by the speaker on lower left hand side. Facebook might be similar.

In any event the anomaly has to be with the site since the audio is working with movies.

Also check your audio controls to make sure that all inputs are turned on. Double left click on speaker icon and turn all on.

And there is only one laptop in the world and it is yours... are you sure you should even have use of laptop or indeed anything more developed than abacus?

did you think about manufacturer, model, operating system? or it was too hard?

I made a video with my pics and some music. Now my thing is, yes it had music but so have a LOT of my friends added video's with music. I feel it is completely and utterly unfair to not allow people to post THEIR video's on THEIR facebook that THEY have created!!!!!!!

How do I Connect a Dell Latitude E6500 to a Sanyo Television

Check your ports on the lap top see if you have s video or hdmi or dvi or VGA the best is hdmi if you have that get a cable for either one of you connections also match connections from the lap top to what you have for your TV more than likely if they are both fairly new you should have hdmi connections for both get a cable that is long enough. I get my cables at amazon.com their prices are the bomb.
Connect them together both ends to lap top and to tv then make sure that you have a line in jack stereo jack with RCA ends hook that to the back of your tv and your lap top in stereo jack even better to your surround sound system. Set your TV to AVI 1 or 2 or DVI or whichever is your connection start a movie on the lap top and turn your sound on and see if you have a picture on your screen you should have the same thing as what is showing on your monitor on your lap top. Adjust settings and have fun!

The speakers wil not play on the background and the center.

If you connected to a 5.1 surround card and checked and they are connected ok you can hear all the speakers when you play music, movies that are in 5.1 format only. If you want to hear also all of them if you listen to stereo movies/music you must set the sound card to emulate multi channel. Also the player you use to listen music/wath movies must be set to 5.1 and must accept Dolby Digital/ DTS decoding if your sound card doesn't(eg. VLC media player-has integrated DD and DTS decoding and codecs for all tipes/formats).
