Heat and air conditioning does not work.

say what dont work.
ok the blower blows, and for sure on high.
so what do you want , and where.
heat to cab?
cold air conditioning to cab?
does not work, ok
lets do 1. no heat to cab,
blow fuse is 1st . check all fuse. (see glove box operators guide)
if no heat:
check engine heat, is it 180F and holding
check cap heater core hose, in heat mode are both hot. ?
if both are hot you have heat to the core and is a damper failure
in the heater box (or controller)

1993 dodge spirit heater fuse

The heater is NOT actuated by a fuse, the fan is. ]But if the fan blows, the electrical part is OK, then it must be the heater door that switches from the cold air to the hot one, or 2) the heater core is not receiving enough hot coolant.

At first i smelt a burning smell then found the fuse had blown,i replaced the fuse and worked for a while then the motor was geting hot and the fridge wouldnt stay cold

it means your compressor hi pressure cause of blown fuse check the condenser fan if running ok if not replace capacitor or lubricate main shaft. then observe your comp. if working continues.

I have no heat replaced thermostat what else could it be?

Well if you are still getting air and it is just not hot it is most likely the heater core, but if it does nothing at all could be your blower motor, blower motor resistor, or blower motor relay, hope this helps! If you need instructions on how to change any of these parts let me know and I will send them!

Gauges not working

OK, check the fuse box to see if the fuses that are designated for these instruments are still in working order. if the fuses are ok, remove the instrument cluster from the dash and, check the back side of the cluster board. pull all connecting plugs to check the metal contacts on the cluster board. try to straighten the plugs and re attached the wiring harness, this should revive the gauges.

if this dose ot produce results, replace th entire cluster.

not a home mechanic job thats for sure ,check youre pollen filter isnt choked up if thats ok then you need a specialist repairer because the venturi offrice is blocked which means that the high pressure gas isnt going through the small hole causing it to stay hot.must ge er indoors moaning

Heater and air conditioner aren't working

first check and if the thermostat is working. take it out put it in hot water. the thermostat should open up. also put a temp gauge in the hot water so you know at what temp it opens up. start there. dont forget theres more fuses under the hood for the ac unit

Only cold water

The solenoid that operates the valve for the hot water has probably failed.. A common fault on all machines.

Swap the wires from the hot inlet to the cold inlet and see if the hot water flows then. To check the cold tap, you will have to set it to hot, and to check the hot you will have to set it to cold (since the wires are around the opposite way) on the control panel.

Check power board also, there is a fuse that allows power to goto the inlet valves, though in your case seems to be OK as you are getting cold water still. Your particular model may have a seperate fuse for each solenoid though.

New inlet valves are available from any white goods repair shop. They come with a solenoid that operates the valve.

If this is still under warranty, then a call to F&P will have it fixed in no time. Make sure to have your serial number and all other info ready when you call.
