Question about eMachines T3642 Driver Recovery Restore Cd Disc Disk

REBOOT FAILURE. I DO NOT HAVE THE CD. HOW CAN I FIX THE REBOOT FAILURE?

Try booting computer in safe mode and see if you'd able to access everything as before. Else, I strongly suspected that the hard drive might have been logically damaged and needs to be replaced.

Before wasting time with recovery disks, you might just want to do diagnostics on the hard drive to make sure that it is operational.

If it checks out fine, THEN, opt for the recovery disks from the manufacturer or reload it with another OS disk - U can get the drivers from the web site.

DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER


The computer is having trouble finding the hard disk.
The problem could be a faulty hard disk or a faulty disk controller.
First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Media test failure Check Cable or error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard diskhas failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to theBIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn'tdetect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Next - to determine if thehard drive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a workingcomputer's USB port. If this computer cannot see itas an external hard drive and you cannot open the various folders and files,this confirms the hard drive is faulty. The hard drive needs to bereplaces in the laptop and Windows installed and the laptop's device driversand your programs etc to get a functioning laptop again.

If you have a CD or DVD in the internal drive, remove it and reboot. If the system does not have a drive then you may be experiencing HD Failure and the system will not identify its main hard drive to boot from.

My dell computer won't reboot. How do I reboot it from a cd?


If you are running Windows XP, open the DVD tray (if you could), then load the Win XP installer.

Restart the computer, and it will tell you to press any key if you would like to boot from CD.

Just hit any key and your computer should reboot using the CD.

Reboot or repair harddisk


Please be a little more specific as to when you are recieving the error and word for word exactly what it says. Its hard to determine if it is a hardware or a software failure at this point. You could try booting off a windows xp disc, going into the recovery console and using the command chkdsk /p /r, it will try and locate bad sectors on the harddrive and fix them. I should let you know that harddrives are usually the first hardware component to fail in computers and have a life expectancy of 3-5 years.

1.Go to Bios Settings
2.Remove LAN booting from booting options...For laptop ,type "X" on the LAN booting option.
3.Save The configuration(F10)

Will not reboot...continues to go back to "We apologize for the inconvenience screen"


First, see if you can run diagnostics from the F12 menu or from the Dell Resource CD and see if the HDD or any other hardware indicates a failure. If you are having a hardware failure, there is no point in trying to fix a software issue until the hardware is fixed.

If the HDD fails diags, replace it. If it passes, then try booting to the XP CD, and see if you can boot to recovery console, and run CHkDSK /R

Computer will not turn on


The only things that can do this are: A card failure, a hard drive failure, Motherboard faiulre, A Power Supply failure, Faulty RAM. To toubleshoot.. disconnect Hard Dive, CD/DVD remove any & all cards, see if it boots,if it does, add the Hard Drive, reboot, then add the CD/DVD, reboot, then replace A card, reboot & so on... until ya find the faulty component, that stops it. If it doesn't remove ram & see if it powers up, it will NOT boot. If it doesn't ya PSU is most probably faulty. If it does ya RAM/motherboard is faulty. So basically strip it down see if it powers up. than add things one at a time to find the culprit.. then replace the ofending item.
