Hi, I use Scan.URL and Norton Safe Web (both free to use) by entering the sites URL address into the check box before using any new sites. Links follow for both of these. Incidentally OnlineMovies.Pro came up as safe.

Try the "last good configuration option - that might work.
If it does not you can try running in safe mode, and from there try to uninstall any remaining norton files from the control panel's uninstall software icon/

Computer said norton virus had expired then computer went into hibernation and now will not restart

Try to restart the computer in safe mode or safe mode with networking. Go to control panel, add or remove programs (or programs and features if its vista), and try to remove norton antivirus completely. If that does not work, and you are in safe mode with networking, download the norton removal tool from the internet and run that to remove the norton antivirus completely. Your computer should be able to boot to the normal window, you can downlaod the norton antivirus latest version from the norton website or purchase the norton antivirus disc from any store. All the best.

Trojan Horse Virus somehow got past Norton Antivirus. I can't use my computer. Dell 8200 desktop running Windows XP with SerPac 2.

NAV 2004 and below were notorious for this likely issue. NAV would go into a loop re-writing the infected code into a temp folder as part of a detection routine gone crazy. Given enough time it could fill up your hard drive with the infected code. I quit using all Norton products as a result of this. There is a fix tho, but it involves some real work on your part. So my suggestion is to TRY to put the computer into safe mode and remove Norton. Why? Because it has become the bigger of the two problems and keeping you from solving the real issue. If you have access to another computer on the internet, download Avast Home 4.7 ( www.avast.com ) and try to install this product while you are still in Safe mode on the infected computer. Get the VPS update file while you are downloading as that contains almost all the necessary updates to the main Avast program. Install the VPS updates directly after installing main program without rebooting first. That will let the updates function during the necessary scan at reboot. If for any reason you are unable to remove Norton in Safe mode, there are small routines available on the Norton website that will allow you completely remove the program as if the Un-install no longer functioned properly. These routines can sometimes be difficult to find but they are there and if necessary I can get them for you.
Whatever you do, give Avast a try, you'll be glad you did. Contact me directly if necessary at ' hantoyo1@yahoo.com ' or Yahoo Messenger ID ' hantoyo1 '
