ok.crank it up to 70,get a thermometer and place it in different ares around the room about 5 feet up,when you see 70 at the thermometer and its still running, then move your thermostat to that spot, you can get thermometers at a dollar store, get a few, check frequently,if all else fails, put the thermostat right next to within 5 inches of the side of the heater, then it will be the same temp as the heater is and shut off when the heater is 70.

your heater might not be big enough,it is only 35,000 btus, its good for a 20 x 20 room with now air leaks, there is also an internal thermostat that they can get and install,it is a bbsk kit,it tells the temp of the air going into heater and shuts off at set temp,or place thermostat next to heater about 2 feet high,i just did alot of research, put it by the heater

also,if the thermostat is sideways,it needs to be upright or the air cant flow up through it

so,tell them to move the thermostat to a place at least 15 feet away from and not in direct line with the heater, but, not so far away that it works like it is,if they dont help you, then get your own thermo and wire and put extend the thermo to a different wall 4.5 feet to 5 feet high

Help! I have a cozy wall heater model W355F-D. I have never ever lit a pilot light in my life and honestly, Im a little nervous. Can you maybe help me and walk me through it?

You should have control knob on the gas valve that has off, pilot and on , turn knob to pilot and hold in you should have igniter button press this in and it will spark at the pilot you may have to press this a few time to get pilot to light . when pilot is alight still hold knob in for 30 seconds then turn to the on position .

Cozy w355f single sided gravity furnace (Nat.gas) Does not want to light using the thermostat(COZY thermo). Have 565or so millivolts at the thermo.Tap on the gas valve and in then lights. loosen and...

It's possible that tapping the valve may be just enough to make the cylinder inside the valve move. Gas is impure and causes a sticky residue that causes valves to stick. If you are sure you MV is correct and that you have no loose connections, it may be the valve itself.

What is easy way to replace the thermostate in

Hi, that thermostat should be a wall mount. This heater has only 2 wires and any "Heat only", "millivolt" thermostat will work. Remove the old T-Stat and mount the new one on the wall, only 2 wires and less than a volt so no shock danger, doesn't even matter which wire goes where. Good luck and comment back if you need any help.

I would take out the new stat and return it.Just because it was new doesn't mean it didn't have a factory defect. I see this all of the time buying a/c and Heater parts that I have to return for credit.

Is there an air filter for my ''Cozy'' Counter Flow Wall Furnace

Cozy most generally doesn't provide a place for a filter in its wall furnaces. I have seen people secure a typical house filter to the outside grill where to return air enters. It's cheesy but works.

Cozy wall heater working intemittently

Sounds like a limit switch is tripping.
This appliance is equipped with a manual reset blocked
flue switch designed to protect against a blocked flue condition,
which would cause combustion products to spill back into the
living quarters. NOTE: A partially blocked, inadequate, or
disconnected vent system may not activate the switch.
Discoloration of the grille is an indication of a bad vent. If this
occurs, the vent can be checked by a qualified serviceman using
a draft gauge. After 15 minutes the gauge should read between
-.02 up to -.04 inches w.c. Vent must be checked at the
beginning of each heating season.
