What year was my m1 made the serial number is 22000002

For starters, you DIDN'T state if it's a M1 Garand, or a M1 Carbine.

But, it doesn't matter.

Neither one had a serial number range into the 22 MILLIONs that you stated!

Did you type one digit too many?

Who invented the m1 carbine rifle

The rifle was originally designed by Jonathan Browning, brother of John Browning, but died before the design was completed.
Winchester hired David "Carbine" Williams, who had began design on a "short-stroke" gas piston design, having him finish the M1 design.

.30 M1 carbine marked Saginaw SG with a serial no 3433616

Seems these guns are kind of a convoluted mess with the way they were produced in two different factories with overlapping serial numbers, and factory markings. Here's a link to a good forum on the guns and the process by which they were marked

Scope for ruger 10/22 carbine

Google SWFA ......they sell about 20 different brands of riflescopes, with pix, desriptions and prices. It's a good source for info, even if you decide to buy one of the same scopes at Walmart. Check out the Bushnell Trophy, Nikon Prostaff, and Tasco scopes, in particular.

Also, there is a website I belong to, originally started just for the Ruger 10/22 owners/fans. You can visit it and join for free at -
We have a great bunch of guys and gals there, who can help you with questions on ANY type rimfire rifle. I'm sure you will love this site.
