I need the remote codes to make my proscan tv work with dish network. Can you supply them?

Method 2 of 3: Scan for Code

  1. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-6-version-2.jpg 1
Use the remote to scan your device for the proper code. If the direct-entry method does not work, or your device is not listed in the back of the manual or online, you can try this procedure to find your device's code.
  2. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-7-version-2.jpg 2
Turn on your remote device. Use either the device's power-on button, or use its remote control to turn it on.
  3. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-8-version-2.jpg 3
Press and hold the mode button for the target device. Hold the button down for about 3 seconds, then release it. It should now be flashing.
  4. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-9-version-2.jpg 4
Press the remote's power button. Note: use the generic power button, not the TV power button.
  5. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-10-version-2.jpg 5
Press the Up or Down arrow button until the device turns off. You will have to do this repeatedly to scan through all codes.
    • Do not press the arrow buttons too quickly, or you might skip over the correct code.
    • The mode button for the device will flash rapidly 8 times when you have scanned all the codes for that device.
  6. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-11-version-2.jpg 6
Lock in the code. When your device successfully powers off, press the Pound sign (#) to store that code in the remote.
  7. 670px-program-a-dish-network-remote-step-12-version-2.jpg 7
Test the connection. Turn on the device with the power button, then test the other buttons such as Play, Fast Forward, etc. If those work too, you're set. If not, repeat the process again until you find a code that does.

Method 3 of 3: By Menu

        • Repeat this process until a working code is found, or continue by selecting "Enter Model" to find the device code.

NEED TO ADD CODE TO URC REMOTE

Try these instructions and see if they work for your genie remote.

First, have your Genie Mini receiver connected and powered on. Next, grab your RC71 remote and simultaneously hold the "MUTE" + "ENTER" buttons until you see a box appear on your TV screen that says "Applying IR/RF Setup. Please Wait" (this appears after about 5 seconds of holding those buttons). Once complete another dialog box will appear and read, "Your remote is now setup for RF." Click "SELECT" to exit that screen. Next, click the "MENU" button, scroll down to "Settings & Help", then click on "Settings", scroll down to and click on "Remote Control", then click "Program Remote". Next you will have two options, either "Program TV" or "Program Audio Device". Click "Program TV", this takes you to a screen where you need to select what BRAND your TV is. After you have selected your TV brand you will have to select the TV Model ( I recommend looking at the sticker on the back of your TV for the accurate Model number or using your current TV remote to find the model number from the menu screen on your TV for fastest and best results). Once the correct model number is selected, AIM your RC71 remote at the TV and it will AUTOMATICALLY program!

Samsung lcd tv can't find a source, buttons on remote control don't respond, nor buttons on the control panel on the right side of the TV device

consult the owner manual or call Samsung---this set likely has a lockout feature that locks both the remote and the keyboard out.

You might also want to research this by taking the model number and Google key words "remote lockout" etc.

I need the codes for a Phillips TV/VCR combo and procedure to program my universal remote.

  • Collect together the manuals or model numbers of all the items you want the universal remote to control. You will need to know manufacturer's name and the model number of the product. You will also need the owner's manual for the Universal Remote

  • Find the codes for the devices that you want to operate. The codes are located in the Owner's manual for your remote. Be sure to match the codes up with the exact model number of the item that you are trying to operate. Each item must be set up and programmed into the remote individually.

  • Program the devices by this guideline for the process. These will be different with each model of remote chosen but this is the general procedure, so you know what to expect. To program a TV into the remote perform the following: Press and hold the code button on the remote until it stops flashing. Press and release the Code button and select the device this is for, and enter the three digit code for the manufacturer and model number of your device. With the device on, press the Channel UP key and see if the channel changes. You are done with that device if the channel changes. Repeat the process for each of the other devices.
